Our beachfront home is located right on the shores of beautiful Lake Atitlan. The space is simple and the location incredible, just feet away from the water’s edge. It is an ideal place to meditate, swim, sunbathe, and relax. The view of the lake, the volcanoes and the sounds of wildlife, the adjacent river and the waves on the beach will connect visitors with nature. The house is just 100 meters from the main dock, with easy access to local restaurants and the Santa Cruz village. A beautiful, serene location just feet from the beachfront on Lake Atitlan. Enjoy your own private patio space where you can sunbathe or nap in a hammock, with a refreshing swim just a few steps away. Keep your windows open at night and hear the waves lapping against the shore. This is the perfect place for those who are looking for a simple escape where they can just relax and enjoy a special connection with Lake Atitlan and the beautiful surrounding nature. The public dock is just 100 meters away, so you don’t have to walk far to enjoy restaurants and the local village. The house is simple and basic but comfortable and very convenient. It includes a comfortable bedroom with a beautiful view of the lake and 3 volcanoes, and a bathroom with warm shower. The patio includes beach chairs and tables, an umbrella, and a grill for you to barbeque food. There is a space for preparing food including a refrigerator, a hot plate, and cooking pots, but not a full kitchen. Local activities include swimming, yoga, kayaking, stand up paddle board rental, hiking, cultural tours, and artisan and cooking classes run by a local NGO in the village. Santa Cruz is a town on Lake Atitlan that is accessible only by boat. Boats run between towns every 20-30 minutes, from 6:30am – 7:30pm. This more limited access makes it an incredibly quiet, safe, and peaceful town, a truly hidden gem! This space is private and guests will not have to share with others. The beach in front of the house is a public beach but very few people pass by which means guests will generally find they have the whole area to themselves. I love to meet guests, share information about the area and stories of the history of the Lake and local village.
