This mountain family home is perfect with breathtaking views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. The large wrapping deck provides the perfect space for indoor-outdoor living, while the indoors offers a cozy feel with a wood burning fireplace and all the essentials of a well loved home. Located in a redwood forest with 260 degree sweeping views. 10 mins to Santa Cruz, 40 min to Monterey, 5 min to Mt Hermon Center. Excellent location for sightseeing and activities. One of the newer homes in the area built among a serene forest sanctuary in a very private setting where your family can relax, unwind and enjoy nature. Feel free to have coffee or BBQ on the very large deck and enjoy the birdwatching as you oversee the canyon with excellent views across the valleys to the mountain ranges. Long sweeping driveway with a large parking area for 4 cars. There is some flexibility with our second bedroom sleeping arrangements. The room is set up with a King bed and can be divided and used as two Twin beds if that better suits your group’s needs. Just let us know in advance. We keep the house smoke, and pet free, please do not smoke/vape inside the home or anywhere on the grounds due to fire danger. We have a full-time guest in the bottom unit of the house with a separate entrance that is in no way connected to the rest of the house. This family home has been well maintained and loved and we are excited to share this glorious space with you! All parts of the house and decks available to guests. The house sleeps up to 7 people. We prefer to limit the number of people in the house to 7, but we have had times where guests bring more people. If you choose to bring more than 7 people the added cost is $50 per night per person upon approval. I give my guests space but am available when needed. Co Host Laurel lives here in the area and feel free to reach out to her if you need anything. Mt. Hermon is a small community near Felton, just a 10-minute drive to Santa Cruz and beaches. The area is full of inviting trails to explore, wonderful redwood forests with beautiful creeks and idyllic scenery. We’re a few minutes from the Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center which offers a world class Zip Line course through the redwood canopy. The Mt. Hermon coffee shop, book store, and soda fountain are open for guests (check their schedule for days/times). Roaring Camp’s steam train ride through the redwoods and to the beach is 5 mins away, perfect for families and guests. Henry Cowell Redwood Park offers incredible forest views and a self-guided tour of ancient redwoods. Safeway grocery store, Wild Roots Organic Grocery store, Pete's , White Raven and Mountain Roasting Coffee shops, CVS drug store, and restaurants less than a mile away. Car, hike, bike around the around the area. The Mt. Hermon area has many smaller roads without a lot of traffic. Limit your speed to the posted 15 miles per hour around the area and watch out for speed bumps, make sure to respect the community rules. No Smoking or Vaping inside and out. No pets or parties. Parking for 4 cars, 7 guests max. The piano is not operational to play. The house is on a septic system, please take care when disposing items. One downstairs tenant that is not connected to the listing and has a separate entrance and parking, no shared spaces.
