We have very friendly staff, onsite 24 hours, who can provide directions and recommendations for local services, restaurants, etc. If you need ice, cold beer, or other supplies, no problem! Located right in the center of Punta Rucia. Secure parking for cars, or your jet ski trailer. Convenient to Playa Ensenada, the famous Paradise Island snorkeling excursion and the manatee park. Ocean kayaks and bicycles onsite. Boat ramp directly in front of the compound. Use our outdoor kitchen and barbecue, or visit one of the local restaurants for fresh seafood - lobster, crab, pulpo, lambi. It's all here. Safe environment for small children. Free loungers and hammocks on the beach, An easy 90 minute drive, on good roads, from either Santiago or Puerto Plata. Difficult to reach with public transportation, but we can arrange for a pickup from Villa Isabela. Nearest gas station is in Estero Hondo, 8 km from Punta Rucia. Airport meet & greet can be arranged, at a subsidized rate, from either of the major airports at Santiago or Puerto Plata. Punta Rucia is a great "getaway" location that retains much of the charm of the obscure fishing village it used to be. You can take a walk on one of the many beautiful beaches on our doorstep - even walk to Playa Ensenada. Or just relax on your private balcony or the beach in front of your casita. Punta Rucia is also the jumping off point for the Paradise Island tour, and the 27 waterfalls of Rio Damajagua are within reach. There is a well equipped colmado for local supplies, restaurants - but no bank. The nearest ATM is in Villa Isabela, 25 km from Punta Rucia. Good roads and an easy drive from Santiago or Puerto Plata. Transport available at a subsidized rate, if required.
