Welcome to our whimsical guesthouse! Fashioned after a NewEngland SaltBox from many years ago, this funky place will not only satisfy your travelling needs by being very clean and comfortable but also will humour you with some of the old artifacts we’ve used for decor! Situated along the bottleneck drive of Summerland’s amazing wineries we also boast being 1 km to the beach. Hiking, biking, orchards, skiing, we’re close to it all! NOTE, WE ARE GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO SANITIZE OUR SALTBOX! A former artists studio, we guarantee you won’t find this kind of property anywhere else. We have restored our guesthouse to a really clean cozy charmer you’ll want to definitely return many times over. The SaltBox sleeps 4. The sofa bed in the living room is a cozy queen sized bed. We have ample parking and our property is completely fenced. We have an outdoors bistro table set and a barbque for you to use on your deck. We are both very social and look forward to being of assistance in any capacity on queries about our great place and surrounding area. Texts and emails will be answered quickly. We are along the bottleneck drive with all its amazing wineries, ask us about our faves! The SaltBox (our guesthouse) is located 1 km from the beach which has a restaurant/lounge along the shore. We are only a short drive to Sunoka beach which, in our opinion, is the nicest beach we’ve found on Okanagan Lake. The KVR (kettle valley railroad) is a short drive and that’s a fun easy hike that also has events during the summer months like the great train robbery! We love Summerland and are happy to be ambassadors to this beautiful safe region of the Okanagan. To get around it depends on what you’d like to see, the beach is a short walk the wineries are walkable but we can also set you up on a wine tour, there is a bus service that takes you into Penticton as well. Dogs.... lets talk. We would consider your dog as a guest but we’d need to have a conversation about your pup first. The one stipulation we insist on is that if we agree to your dog, a $20 min donation per dog! (total $20 min, not nightly) to our local amazing animal rescue be given. And since we have had the rare experience of guests “forgetting” the cash, we now ask for the cash upon your arrival. Every dollar of your donation would go to this very worthy society.
