We would love to share our ranch with you! About two miles, 3 kilometers, from Talpa de Allende with incredible views of the Pueblo. We have an upstairs space which has a small kitchen, two bedrooms and a living room. The ranch is very peaceful with many things to enjoy, fish in the lake, go for a swim in the Pool, take a horseback ride, or just watch the sheep graze. We have an upstairs space with two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with two double beds. There is a small kitchen with stove and microwave but no traditional oven. There is a beautiful living space with huge windows to enjoy the view of Talpa de Allende. The decor is rustic and the space is immaculate. There is a stairway off of the living space that leads to the first level of the house but the entire upstairs space is for guests. You will have the upstairs of the house to yourselves. You are welcome to use the downstairs balcony and pool area as well as the lake and any area of the ranch you would like to visit. My husband Marco and I are available to talk and give suggestions on things to do in the area. I am available to arrange horseback rides for an extra fee. We have a few riding horses and a couple of very gentle smaller horses to lead the kids around on. We are also happy to show our lambs to our visitors. One of the most wonderful things about the ranch is the variety of birds we have. White and blue herons will be seen around the lake and if you are lucky you will see the osprey fishing. Depending on the time of year many other species will be seen as they migrate through the area. Wild flowers are also plentiful in the fall and late summer. Of course the Pueblo Talpa is a wonderful place to explore with its traditional candy shops and many restaurants. If you don’t have your own car you can get to the ranch by mototaxi from Talpa, or let us know and we can pick you up. This is a ranch so there will be some crowing, barking, baaing, and neighing. Much more tranquil than being in Talpa. During the romerías we can hear the fireworks that are set off in Talpa. There are a lot of critters on the ranch. We have large lovable dogs, which do a great job protecting our sheep from coyotes, there are horses, chickens, turkeys, and cats. So expect to have curious animals come over to find out who the visitors are.
