Cozy guest room in a duplex with twin beds, desk, dresser, double closet. 5-10 minutes from everything: Downtown, UofM, I-35W, 1-94, Nightlife, Sports Stadiums, Microbreweries, Galleries, Museums, and Restaurants. City bus stop on the corner. Guests can use the whole house, free laundry, off-street parking. Huge park across the street. This is a large, fully-furnished private bedroom with twin beds, a large dresser, desk, double closet and window air conditioner. The house is a no-smoking, allergy controlled environment. You'll get your own key to the house for the duration of the stay. You have free access to the rest of the house (which includes the kitchen and sun porch), safe on-street or off-street parking, free laundry in basement. The back yard has a barbeque and child's unused swing set available. I often work in my home office during the day and am here to sleep at night. I'm happy to socialize or not - depending on guest preferences. I work in my room mornings until at least 10 AM, so guests have free reign of the bathroom and kitchen for a do-it-yourself breakfast. You'll have phone numbers for upstairs tenants and neighbors who will be available if I'm not. Can walk, bike ((URL HIDDEN) or bus ((URL HIDDEN) to Target Field and USBank Stadium. The house is in the Minneapolis Arts District; in May, 50,000 people visit for the annual Art-a-Whirl festivities and open galleries. Lots of microbrew places, fun and tasty ethnic restaurants, nightclubs in nearby St. Anthony Main, rental bikes and bike paths. Locals say it's the "new Uptown," meaning it's the hip area of Minneapolis now. For things to do in the 'hood or throughout the city, there's a Visitor's Center at the lite rail station, or go to (URL HIDDEN) I also post things I think may be of interest to my (EMAIL HIDDEN) and (URL HIDDEN) The Metrobus to downtown Minneapolis stops on the corner and connects with the lite rail station at 5th & Hennepin (Warehouse District). The city has location-to-location bikes for rent in the park across the street in season. Parking is easy and safe on the street or behind the house, and major Interstate highways to the city are close by. From the airport, get the lite rail in the terminal and transfer for a short ride on the #17 bus or grab a $5 cab ride at the station. Use the Trip Planner at (URL HIDDEN) The house is across the street from a huge park with ball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, picnic tables. It's just a mile east of the Mississippi, across from downtown Minneapolis. Big box stores (Target, Home Depot, etc.) are five minutes away.
