What's nearby: The beach, which tends to be uncrowded, is an excellent spot to hunt for agates or fly a kite. Salishan Resort is a short drive away toward Lincoln City, where you can enjoy a day at the spa or fit in a round of golf. Continue on to Lincoln City for year-round crabbing and clamming. Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area is a short drive in the other direction toward Depoe Bay, where you can picnic, play on the beach, and search for tide pools in the rocks. Just a bit further down the road is Depoe Bay, home of the world's smallest harbor and a great place to whale watch.
