The schoolbus has been converted into a living space. There is a fridge, a propane stove and a sink (cold water only). The bus is parked behind the barn for privacy and is surrounded by trees with a beautiful view of St. Ann's Bay and the ocean in the distance. The newly installed washroom is in the house and you can access it through a backdoor a short walk away from the bus. Please bring your own pillows, sleeping bags or blankets, and towels or you can rent bedding ($5 per guest) The end of the bus is divided with a partial wall and serves as a bedroom with comfortable queen-size bed surrounded by windows. There is smaller (double) fold-out sofa in the living area. Please let me know if you want to use this as an additional bed. You can attach curtains with little magnets all around or you can enjoy the view of tree sky and ocean. The height of the curved ceiling is 6 feet in the middle of the bus. A secluded grassy platform with a picnic table and a fire pit will give you the opportunity to enjoy the outdoor or built a campfire in the evening. You have to walk less than 50 meters to the backdoor of the house for the newly installed washroom. The bathroom is equipped with a toilet, sink and a roomy walk-in shower. Please let me know if you want to use the washing machine. I live in the house and I am usually around in case you have any questions. Have breakfast right at the ocean at the Clucking Hen Cafe about 2 minutes to the north. Visit some of the many artisan stores and studios like Jolene's Leather Works, North Shore Woodsmiths Studios, Glass Artisans Studio and Gallery, Wildfire Pottery or Colouratura Art Gallery, all within 5 to 10 minutes of your accommodation. Walk along the beach, watch lobster fishers haul in their catch, or have a swim at Little River Wharf, 5 min. to the North. The entrance to the Cape Breton Highlands National Park is about 35 min. drive. The park features beautiful hiking trails or you can swim in the ocean at Ingonish Beach. You can park right in front of the bus. The fly screens and curtains in the bus are attached with little magnets and can easily be adjusted as needed.
