Because of Covid Restrictions, we are not serving breakfast but can make sure that the basics and our very own happy eggs are in the kitchen for you to make breakfast. Because of Covid restrictions and for your safety we do not cook for you but hope instead you will enjoy my very own beautiful kitchen to your self. You may choose to eat breakfast in the dining room or maybe you prefer outside with the warm breeze coming off the bay. Whatever your desire, every measure will be taken to serve you the best possible experience. There are yard games, indoor games puzzles, and a fire pit all for your enjoyment. Every guest will have access to a large formal sitting room for leisurely reading and conversation, a formal dining room and a very large country kitchen. There are plenty of outdoor spaces, with loungers and chairs. Fruit trees, flowers, rolling hills and salt marshes create an oasis for birds of all kinds and a beautiful place for your relaxation. As your personal host I look forward to doing anything I can to make your stay more pleasant. There is much to do in this area and I will be glad to help you discover all it has to offer. Just outside the historic village of Maitland among the rolling hills and mature trees you will find this gem. There is so much to explore if you are a nature lover or maybe a sunny rest on our large patio is more your beat. Maitland has Canada's oldest general store, the Lawrence house museum and the 215 art gallery. You are only a 5 minute drive from Anthony park where there is a fantastic beach that is practically untouched letting you experience the fundy mud and the worlds highest tides. Every day the landscape is a little different and at low tide you can walk the bay floor and see all the small caves and interesting rock formations. If you like bald eagles I have a secret beach to show you. Tidal bore rafting is only a 2 minute drive away and is guaranteed fun. There are walking trails and so much more. I will be glad to tell you all about it in my warm kitchen. Parking is never an issue in the country but public transportation is. There is no public transportation here other than an old pedal bike with a basket. We may accommodate your dog if arranged in advance. There are many walking trails and beaches nearby. Keep in mind that we have 4 cats, many chickens, and 2 dogs on the premises but not in the house. The dog stays away from guests unless they call her over.
