SPACIOUS Studio Suite Retreat with large south facing windows to enjoy the ocean view of fishing and pleasure boats, Near Island, seabirds, eagles and sometimes whales! Enjoy your private entry and deck, as well as decor focusing on Kodiak history. AMENITIES PLUS, including a cozy electric fireplace, kitchenette, plush terry robes, bonus room area, ample closets and full size washer/dryer! The bonus room can be set up with a single bed for another guest (YOU MUST NOTIFY US) The studio suite (650 sq. ft.) is conveniently located less than 1 mile from downtown museums, shops and restaurants, yet in a peaceful natural setting for pure relaxation. Besides the queen size bed, it is possible to set up a single bed in the private bonus room space. You must request the set up. The studio suite is self-contained with a kitchenette, dining table and chairs, plus comfortable easy chairs in front of the electric fireplace and wide screen TV. We are eager to provide suggestions to maximize your Kodiak experience or not, depending on the guest's needs. Peaceful residential neighborhood, short walking distance to Near Island trails and harbor and downtown museums, harbor, restaurants and brewery. We are located a short walk (less than 1 mile) to downtown restaurants and museums and walking trails on Near Island. Renting a car is highly recommended to explore the more than 100 miles of scenic roads and access to hiking trails and state parks. Reserve in advance, as the rental agencies run out of cars. Some guests have booked with U-Haul in this case.
