Enjoy the tranquility whether travelling for pleasure or business. Wake up coffee in hand and watch the sunrise. Dedicated office overlooking ocean. Printer for use. Reliable internet. Stay in this charming century home in the heart of scenic, quiet Sambro fishing village at the end of a peninsula surrounded by the ocean with stunning views. Hike along the coastline on the nearby trails at Crystal Crescent Beach 5 minutes away by car. Peacefully end the day by the firepit watching the sunset. Spryfield is 20 minutes away with all the restaurants, groceries, and stores you may need. Halifax downtown is 25 minutes. Mishoo’s is a 1 minute drive down the road that offers a restaurant, liquor store and convenient store. This fisherman’s salt box cottage allows you 270 degree stunning views of the ocean and quiet solitude. Walk along the ocean and the nearby trails. Sit by the fire pit and watch the sunset. We welcome families to our cottage; no partying shall be tolerated. There are games, books and movies, plus internet with a smart TV for Netflix. 3 bedrooms are on the second level with a 4 piece washroom. Bring your own food and clothes, as everything else is provided. The home is on a septic system and water cistern so caution must be used with water usage and nothing but toilet paper flushed down drains. This home is a cottage on the ocean and not a resort or hotel. Eco conservation must be practiced. No smoking, cannabis, or vaping allowed inside the cottage. Nova Scotia has a strict environmental recycling waste program, therefore bins and guidelines are available to follow during your stay. Ceilings are lower because of the age (approx. 6’ 7”) and steeper stairs. Full access to entire home except garage. There is no daily housekeeping service. There will be extra linens for extended visits and a change of towels provided after a week. I will be a phone call away if you have questions or concerns. Within walking distance there is a convenience store with a small restaurant and liquor store. At the government wharf you can fish or launch your boat. Crystal Crescent Beach is popular with a long sand beach and hiking trails a 5 minute drive away. If you want to experience the sights and sounds and tourism of Halifax then you’re 25 minute drive away. 45 minutes drive from the airport. To get here a vehicle is required. Not on the bus route. This is a cottage on the ocean not a resort, therefore it is on septic and water cistern. Eco responsibility is essential as it’s not a hotel and the water cistern holds 6000 litres. This is an original fisherman house back when homes were built by the community. Therefore, the ceilings are lower than normal (approx. 6 1/2 to 7 ft) and the stairs are steeper then modern code.
