Stone’s Throw Cottage, century old, recently modernized, 550 sq. ft. inside, 400 sq. ft. deck, on the LaHave River and it’s own ocean water, private pebble beach. Located on quiet Pentz Road, on the beautiful South Shore. Two minutes from famous LaHave Bakery, enjoy a morning coffee, a harty lunch or fresh baked treat. Nearby historic LaHave ferry for a 20 minute drive to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. 15 minutes to Nova Scotia’s best white sand beaches, Risser’s, Crescent, Green Bay. Lovely cedar shingled Nova Scotia heritage cottage, thoughtfully renovated with a chef’s kitchen, spa bathroom and open-concept main living space. A separate closed bedroom has twin bunk beds and laundry facility. Two pairs of double garden doors open on to the large terrasse, bringing the outside in, perched above the LaHave River, complete with lounge chairs, dining area, and a gas BBQ. Wifi, Netflix, board games and puzzles are provided for indoor entertainment and luxurious bedding and bath linens will make your stay more comfortable. A fire pit and Adirondack chairs riverside will make for memorable evenings. Full access to all spaces of cottage including 24’x16’ glassed-in deck, waterfront fire pit with adirondack chairs, 155’ private pebble beach. We are always available to answer questions by text, email or phone. We live next door and are able to help with any problems or questions. Enjoy all that Nova Scotia's South Shore has to offer. Lunenburg, Mahone Bay and Bridgewater are all close by. Crescent, Risser's and Green Bay beaches are within minutes. LaHave bakery is just around the corner for warm, fresh baked bread, pastries, light meals, groceries and espresso or coffee. You can do touchless pickup and have your meal and coffee in one of the Adirondack chairs on their dock. Choose to stay home on the river for the day and head out for a walk along your beach. See the Bald Eagles or Kingfishers that hunt off of the pine trees on the point, or some of the dozen’s of waterfowl and fish living in the cove. Light a BBQ for dinner up on the deck then head down to the waterfront to have a great bonfire in the firepit, completing your perfect Nova Scotian day. Nearby towns and villages offer world-class food and charming galleries and shops. Take a class in SUPing (stand up paddleboarding) in the village of Petite Rivière, do a wine tasting at a local vinyard or rent a kayak to tour the LaHave Islands. Located off of route 331, private taxis are available and public transport is available in the towns. Because of the current global pandemic, Nova Scotia has strict requirements for travellers arriving from outside of the province, which may involve 14 day self-quarantining for those who are not fully vaccinated.
