Tucked away on a quiet leafy street in National Awarded Historic Hubbard Heights, our immaculate and charming 1916 Craftsman/Bungalow house offers the most desired neighborhood in Stamford! Walking distance to vibrant Scalzi Park, E. Gaynor Brenan Golf Course, university and school, hospital, shopping, restaurants, downtown and train station to New York City. The guest room is located on the main level of the home and has a lock where you’ll be able to secure your belongings. The bathroom, although shared, is located in the same hallway as the guest room. For your convenience, there are dressers and shelving where you can store your items as well as a mini-fridge. You’ll be sharing the common areas with the home owners. We are friendly, but are also very respectful of your private space. Included in the common areas are the kitchen and outdoor patio space. Feel free to relax outside either under the shade or facing out into the sun. Guests will have access to a private bedroom that includes a cable TV, air conditioning, and mini fridge. They will also have access to a shared Bathroom, Kitchen, living room, and outdoor patio. We live in the home and will be available for our guests during their stay. The Hubbard Heights Historic District is a highly intact, early twentieth century neighborhood in the City of Stamford, CT that dates to a period of rapid commercial and population growth in the downtown. The district encompasses approximately 94 acres and is one of few remaining residential developments in Stamford laid out with a rectangular street grid, with houses constructed on land subdivided from former agricultural estates. The boundaries are consistent with the area historically identified with as the Hubbard Heights community. The district is bounded by the Rippowam River to the north, Scalzi Park to the east, West Broad Street to the south, and a golf course to the west. The most striking historic characteristic of the district is its consistent layout and uninterrupted collection of contemporaneously platted lots, developed with single-family houses that display the range of popular early twentieth century domestic architectural styles. As our home is centrally located, you are able to get to many areas walking, biking, or driving. There is free parking for 1 car in our private driveway. If an additional space is needed there is plenty of free street parking. Note: Street Parking is limited M-F for a maximum time of 1 hour between 6AM - 7PM. This is mandated by the City of Stamford.
