Our Joyful Escape is a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home that sits on 4 acres in Anderson County - featuring a fully equipped kitchen, a Jacuzzi tub, and a seating area outdoors with a fire pit. It's a perfect place for individual travelers, couples, or families with children, and it works well for lake goers, as there is plenty of space to park a boat, is perfect lodging if you are in town for a UT game, and is within close proximity to area vendors and attractions. Join us, relax, and enjoy your escape! Our Joyful Escape is a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home located in the peaceful Tennessee Valley - our home sleeps 8. The couch in the living room has a sofa bed. Our space is a great place for relaxing, both indoors and outdoors. Indoors, our home features a living room with a soft, comfy couch, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining room table, and a master bathroom with a soothing Jacuzzi tub. Outdoors, our home is located in the beautiful, rural community of Anderson County. It features a seating area, hammock, charcoal grill, and a fire pit - ensuring guests can enjoy our space during the day and at night. Our space is great for days where you want to spend quality time with the family, but it’s also an ideal place to spend some time alone, reading a good book. At night, our fire pit becomes a great location to sit and laugh with friends, but if you’re looking for a more peaceful form of entertainment, you can just sit and gaze up at the stars. Overall, our space looks to provide a comfortable stay for all of our guests! You enter through the front door and have access to the entire house including; 3 spacious bedrooms with walk-in closets, a master bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and a separate stand up shower, an extra bathroom with a full bathtub and shower combo, a kitchen that’s fully equipped with all regular-sized appliances, a living room with a nice, comfy sleeper sofa bed and a table with brochures for close by things to see and do, a back porch with a charcoal grill, table and chairs, and a hammock, and a large backyard with a fire pit - also, for your security, and ours, we have installed outdoor, security cameras on the premises. We try to have everything you need to make your stay a comfortable and joyous occasion. You won't be disappointed! We give our guests their privacy so they can enjoy their stay without any interruptions. On occasion, we will come by if there is something needing maintenance or attention. In such cases, we will message you before we have to do so. If our guests should have questions or concerns they can feel free to message us at any time. Anderson County is home to more than 1,000 miles of trails that meander along river banks and climb into majestic mountains while providing many picturesque resting spots. You can be transported from 18th century Appalachia, to the atomic age, to the Civil Rights Era, and into the future. Our Escape is near Norris Dam State Park and Big Ridge State Park. Beautiful Norris Lake extends 56 miles up to the Powell River and 72 miles up to the Clinch River and is surrounded by the mountains of East Tennessee. With 34,000 acres and 800 miles of shoreline, there is always a secluded cove waiting for you. So, whether you're fishing, camping, boating or simply relaxing you are sure to love this picturesque lake. This is what our area has to offer, but if you don't plan on going on day adventures, the quiet backyard and scenic views that surround our property are enough to please your soul. Come make our Joyful Escape your escape. You won't be disappointed whether you are looking for a place to relax and unwind or have plans to see what Anderson County has to offer. Also, our place is an ideally convenient place to lodge if you are joining an event at the Country Jewel. You are a short 10 to 15-minute car drive to area groceries, stores, pharmacies, restaurants, attractions and gas stations. Joyful Escape is in a convenient location if you are needing to eat, shop, enjoy the great outdoors, or simply go pick up a Redbox, Blu-ray or DVD. You will find almost everything you are looking for close by. And for game day travelers, you are approximately a 28-minute car ride to Neyland Stadium! Thinking of spending the day at one of Tennessee’s parks? Well, from our home you are approximately a 15-minute car drive to Norris Dam State Park, an 18-minute car drive to Big Ridge State Park, and if you are wanting to venture out further, you are approximately an hour and 30-minute car drive to Gatlinburg and less than a 2-hour car drive to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Also, travelers, you are about a 37-minute car ride from McGhee Tyson Regional Airport. Stay, Relax and Enjoy Your Escape. We do NOT offer long term stays. We keep our stays at our rental to a maximum of 8 nights. Note there is an EXTRA GUEST FEE of $15 dollars per guest per night after 2 guests. If at booking you put incorrect amount of guests you will be expected to pay this such fee. We will send you a request for the amount you owe. Please don’t give false numbers of guests trying to avoid this fee we will know the amount of people entering the house and you will be expected to pay accordingly. For your security and ours, we have installed outdoor, security cameras on the premises. This property is equipped with cable with 125 stations, and Wi-Fi for your convenience. Also, you will find things such as decks of cards, books, checkers, K'nex building toys, games, coloring books, crayons, board games, and a few outside toys for you and your family to enjoy during your stay. If you desire to cook, you can enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, or you can go out back to use the charcoal grill. Remember: always practice fire safety when using the fire pit or grill and never leave an open flame unattended. There is a water hose on hand at the property for your safety. Located in the master bedroom closet is a Pack 'n Play if needed for your little ones during your stay. Also, there's an iron and ironing board in case you need to tidy up your wardrobe. We have tried to go above and beyond to make Joyful Escape a clean and cozy space to be your home away from home, and we hope you make the best of your stay and have an enjoyable time!
