Escape to the Rockies - Acreage Oasis

Welcome home to this beautiful newly-renovated self-contained suite! Large walk out basement w/private entrance has plenty of natural light, 9 ft. ceilings, radiant heat flooring, & acreage views. Located 5 minutes West of Hinton, AB (~1 hour from Jasper) it is a great place when business brings you to the area ... and also a wonderful base for exploring the region! *exceptions to min. 4 night stay may be arranged. Maximum 4 guests also possible. Schedule more restrictive due to COVID-19. Options abound from here!! Enjoy the scenery in the area or drive to Jasper National Park. Depending on the season you can either hike the Sulphur Skyline, ski at Marmot Basin, check out Athabasca Falls, or simply meander taking in the sights! Closer to Hinton you can head out cross- country skiing at the Nordic Centre, or go birding, canoeing, or catch some beach time in William A. Switzer Park. Explore Hinton by vising the Northern Rockies Museum, strolling Beaver Boardwalk or hitting the bike park or mountain bike trails. End your day with a soak at Miette Hot Springs or a meal at the local brewery or one of the many restaurants in the area. Whatever your plans, the acreage is a wonderful place to come home to!! NOTE: WE HAVE A DOG, and the neighbour's dog comes to visit as well. They are not allowed into the suite - regardless of how endearingly they look at you ;) <3 The suite is completely private and self contained with a private entrance and patio area. The laundry room (separate access) is currently full of renovation storage ... but still fully accessible for guest use. We live on the main level of the house and only accept bookings when we are around to be of assistance if required (via technology or with a knock on the door in case of questions or an emergency). The acreage is in a residential subdivision. The area is very quiet and as there is no exit on the subdivision road the traffic is only local vehicles. There are no services such as restaurants, convenience stores, etc. within walking distance, although we are only 5 minutes from Hinton (population ~10,000) . There are numerous excellent restaurants and a brewery within easy driving distance. Do not let (Hidden by Airbnb) maps or GPS direct you to our house from southern Alberta via Hwy (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) between Nordegg and Hinton ... 125 km+ of unpaved roads. Call if you have questions :) It is important that you have your own reliable vehicle or plan to utilize a taxi from the Town of Hinton. There is no public transit to the area. However, we do back onto Crown land and there are numerous trails if you enjoy a walk or bike ride in the bush ... and a good steep paved hill if you just want to get out for some fresh air. If our dog happens to be outside, please do not take her with you on your walk without checking with us first :) We are on almost 4 acres, so parking is not a concern. COVID-19 I apologize in advance if my confirming vaccination status is a privacy concern for you. As the suite is in our home and we do the cleaning, and have an immunocompromised family member we visit regularly, I will require confirmation of vaccination status. The main road to the house is a public road and maintained for school bus access. Our driveway will be plowed after heavy snowfalls ... but we are located in rural Alberta :) If you plan an early departure and the forecast is for heavy snow overnight, please advise us the evening prior so we can adjust our schedule accordingly. A reliable vehicle suited to the conditions is always recommended.
