Shopping, museums and restaurants are 5 minutes away in Lunenburg and 10 minutes in Mahone Bay. Cyclists, kayakers, writers, artists and beach goers love this scenic, peaceful area close to vibrant Lunenburg. Swimmers can take a dip at sandy Bachman’s Beach, a 5 minute drive at the end of Second Peninsula. Excellent cycling , is just out the door on Second Peninsula Road along the scenic coast, and the Lunenburg/ Mahone Bay cycle/hiking trail is a stone’s throw away. One bedroom has a double bed with an ocean view and the other bedroom has a double bed and private garden view. Free Wi-fi is available throughout the house. A TV is available with HDMI cable to hook up to your laptop. Fine linens are provided for the bedroom, kitchen, bath and beach. A complimentary basket of locally roasted Laughing Whale Coffee and delicious local preserves from the Lunenburg Farmer’s Market awaits each guest. We also supply basic ingredients like oil, vinegar, flour, sugar and spices. The cottage is on one level with access to a 2 acre yard with fruit trees, extensive lawn, private back deck. The lawn gets mowed on Thursdays and the owner may drop by to the shed out back on Tuesdays between 5:30-6pm to take out the garbage and Wed. between 5:30-6pm to wheel the garbage can back to the shed.
