Private Suite in Heart of Downtown Smithers

This clean, bright bachelor suite is the perfect home base for your visit to the Bulkley Valley! Located in one of the original heritage houses in the heart of downtown Smithers, this living space is completely private with a separate entrance, designated parking spot, and everything you need to feel comfortable and at home. A private entrance at the back of the house opens into a charming entrance area with a bench, shoe area, and coat rack. A door to the left opens to the main bedroom and living area which features a high ceiling, a comfortable queen-sized bed, a breakfast nook with two chairs and a table, and a kitchenette equipped with coffee maker, hotplate, toaster oven, and everything you need to prepare a great meal in. A 3-piece bathroom is located across the entrance area from the main room, and features a walk-in shower and a new laundry machine that guests are welcome to use. The main house that is attached to the suite is our primary residence, so we should be easy to track down if we are in town :). We will also be easy to get a hold of by text before and during your stay, and are always happy to help with recommendations or answer any questions you may have about the area. Whether or not we are in Smithers during your stay, there will always be somebody available to help in case of an emergency or issues with the house. We do feel this space is too small for 2 guests staying over a month. You can't get any more central than this! Located just steps from Main Street in Smithers' downtown Brewery District, enjoy exploring the nearby coffee shops, restaurants, micro-breweries and local shops. The suite is also conveniently located half a block from Coast Mountain College, with the hospital, government buildings, library and grocery stores all within a 5 minute walk. And if the surrounding mountain views call out to you for adventure, the Bulkley River, Hudson Bay ski area, and numerous trail networks are all close by! We have laneway parking available for our guests. Once you are here, almost anything you may need is within walking distance. Our suite is located in the heart of downtown Smithers, which is... a 5 minute drive from the airport, a 10 minute pedal to the bluff mountain bike trails, a five minute jog to the perimeter trail, a 20 minute drive from the ski hill (with a shuttle leaving steps from your door), a 10 minute drive or public bus ride from Telkwa, and a short walk from any and all amenities that the town of Smithers has to offer. We do have a Bernese puppy and the house is attached to the suite so there is some noise transfer although it is fairly minimal. Our puppy does have access to the backyard and we ask that guests latch the gate when they come and go. Also if you have issues with dogs please let us know ahead of time. There is a dehumidifier in the suite, please feel free to utilize it.
