Little Cayman: Dive, Fish, Relax

ALL NEW! ALL NEW LOWER LEVEL AND ALL NEW MASTER BATH! Welcome to the newly remodeled Conch Club 11! Dive with turtles, rays and more species of fish than you can imagine! Snorkel from the beach, a kayak or a boat. Fly fish for bones, tarpon or snapper inshore. Fish for tuna, mahi-mahi or wahoo just 5 minutes away in the open sea. Walk the beach for hours without meeting another person. Bike to nearby restaurants or bird watching outposts. Relax in a hammock under a palapa just steps from the ocean. Our main level has the laundry, kitchen, dining area, 1/2 bath and living room and has been completely remodeled. New flooring, new kitchen cabinets, new bathroom, new dining furniture, new living room furniture. We love to cook but think that it should be easy. You will find a full complement of dishes, utensils and serving dishes. All of our appliances have recently been replaced and upgraded. There is a small supply of basic spices for guests to use or to add to. If you prefer to eat out we have an island guidebook directing you to all of the local restaurants and grocery delivery services. To help preserve the environment we provide reusable grocery totes. We don't charge extra for airport transfers just let us know your flight times so that we can arrange a ride for you. The upper level has 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The large master bedroom has an amazingly comfortable king size bed and 2 lounging chairs and a newly remodeled attached full bath. It has an ocean facing, newly rebuilt, balcony with patio furniture. The 2nd bedroom finds a queen bed and a lounge chair with large windows facing the Red Footed Booby nature preserve. It has a private, attached full bath. Need more space? We can accommodate larger groups by placing you in adjacent 2 and 3 bedroom units in our same building. We have 4 new beach cruiser bikes, labeled 'Conch Club 11' for your use. They are stored on the ocean side patio and each has a lock. Please keep them locked at all times because bikes tend to go missing. The secret combination for the locks is in the information packet that you will find upon check-in. You also have complimentary use of the owners' association bikes. We have 2 'sit in' kayaks labeled 'Conch Club 11' for your use. The paddles and life jackets are stored inside near the living room. Please be careful not to leave the kayaks too near the water's edge as the tide sometimes rises quickly. You also have complimentary access to the 'sit-on' kayaks from our property association which are the yellow and green kayaks stored under the pool deck. 'Sit-in' and 'sit-on' are very different as the styles of kayak handle differently. For those of you unfamiliar with kayaking, you will probably be more comfortable with the 'sit-on' style. On the beach we have lounge chairs with a small table and a dining table with chairs, for that “toes in the sand” dining experience. Fresh water on Little Cayman is produced through a combination of rain water collection and purchased reverse osmosis water. In addition we have a whole-house 1 micron filter for additional water purity so bottled water is no longer a necessity, however, it is still available for purchase at the grocery store. There are charcoal BBQ grills available on the property. We have wireless DSL internet service, Dish Network satellite television and complimentary airport transfers. We have many little extras like iPod docks, iPod to auxiliary cords and binoculars. We now have Apple TV for ease of viewing your photos and videos on the television in the living room. If you want to view Netflix, or other services, on Apple TV be sure to bring your username and password. There is a long-distance calling block on our phones. Local calls, including to Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman, are allowed. You will need an international long-distance calling card to phone other countries. Cayman cell phone service is GSM so any CDMI phones will probably not work but Skype is always available on the internet. There are 2 pools and 1 hot tub located on the property. Please be aware that there is no lifeguard on duty. Dive boats leave from either the Southern Cross Club dock or from the Little Cayman Beach Resort Dock. Both docks are an easy walk or bike ride away. All of the dive operations (Little Cayman Divers, Reef Divers and Southern Cross Club) can assist you with gear and personal transportation if needed. They also assist with snorkel trips if you want to go off-shore. Since purchasing our unit we have replaced all of the furniture, bedding, linens, appliances and kitchen supplies. Updating and adding new items are an ongoing project. We also have just completed an interior refurbishing of complete lower level and the upper master bath. You will want to bring sunscreen and other sun protection such as hats, sunglasses and SPF rated clothing. Water shoes or beach shoes are recommended for wading in turtle grass or hiking on the iron shore. We provide basics like paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and bath soap. Enjoy!
