My home is located at the end of a country road in a quiet residential area on the ocean. This four-bedroom Cape Cod house features hardwood floors, spacious rooms and living space, modern amenities and a stunning view of St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia. The ocean can be accessed by the stairs leading from the arbour near the house. It is a short drive east to Halifax and gorgeous beaches to the south. It is also very close to the Rails-to-Trails that run from Halifax down the South Shore. Welcome to 39 Stevens Road in Boutilier’s Point where scenic beauty, a rich heritage, and a vibrant culture are here for you to explore. From music, to sports, to entertainment, food, and outdoor activities (Trans Canada Trail accessed from the bottom of Boutilier’s Point Road, rentals at the Bike and Bean in Tantallon), you will find the opportunity to celebrate it all! Please respect this is a non-smoking home in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. Enjoy one of our favorite beaches in your backyard – Plus more than a hundred beaches to visit with plenty of opportunity to refine your sandcastle-building skills. Our beaches are as diverse as the regions of the province. In St. Margaret’s Bay visit the many beaches around you including Queensland Beach, Hubbards Beach and Bayswater Beach. Further down the coast visit Rissers Beach and Crescent Beach to name a few. Fine Arts and Crafts – Nova Scotia is rich with talented artisans, who create beautiful works of art in many different types of media. Unique shops, fine crafts, and galleries are located throughout the Province. Also to note, Saturday and Sunday morning Halifax Seaport Farmers Market is not to be missed. Take time to visit the Hubbards Farmers Market on Saturday mornings, the Tantallon Market on Tuesday afternoons, the Lunenburg Farmers Market Thursday mornings, and the Chester Market on Friday mornings. The shops in Mahone Bay and Lunenburg are not to be missed. This area offers many outstanding restaurants. Enjoy the Bike & Bean Cafe and Delish Deli in Tantallon; Rhubarb in Seabright; the Trellis Café in Hubbards; in Chester enjoy the Rope Loft Dining Room and Pub, Whitegate Restaurant, the Foc’sle pub, the Kiwi Cafe and the Galley Restaurant & Lounge at the Marina in Chester Basin; in Mahone Bay there are always great choices including Rebecca's Restaurant and Oh My Cod; in Lunenburg enjoy the Magnolia Grill, the Knot Pub, Salt Shaker Deli, Savy Saylor, The Grand Banker and Fleur de Sel Restaurant to name a few! There are also lobster dinners all summer long in Hubbards (Wednesday-Sunday) at the Shore Club or in the Peggy’s Cove area enjoy purchased fresh seafood and lobster at Ryers Seafood. Plus, while in Peggy’s Cove, visit Beale’s Bailiwick – they make great espresso and cappuccino. Please leave the following areas private: The walk-in cupboard on the right in the master bedroom (the cupboard on the left is for you), the filing cabinets, my desk and attic, the piano/computer room, the contents of the dining room cupboard and the living room buffet, and the cottage. I may be staying in the cottage from time to time if I need to tend the gardens, mow the lawn, etc. There is a cottage on the premises and I may stay in it from time to time if I need to tend the gardens, mow the lawn, etc. or await late arrivals. I will be there to greet you and you may phone my cell if you have any questions. I will have many tourist brochures available for you to consult and will do all I can to ensure you have a great stay. My immediate neighbours are all great people who have shared the area with me for 20 years. You will find them very friendly and welcoming. Please be considerate and maintain the quiet environment. You will need a car to get around as there is no public transit. However, you can bike forever on the Rails to Trails! A gentle reminder that this vacation home is on a septic and well system, so please use wisely. I have never run out of water but am careful to have short showers and keep laundry/dishwasher use to a minimum. Please do not use the Jacuzzi as it takes two tanks of hot water to fill. Please turn off the taps as you are brushing your teeth, shaving, etc. and only flush the toilet if necessary. If you run out of water, you will need to contact a water delivery service to fill the well at your expense (~$200). P & R MacLean's Water and Trucking Co. (Phone number hidden by Airbnb)
