There is almost always a breeze and a bright sunset that wakes you. Breezes keep the house cool and we do not have central AC for that reason - you may need a sweater. on rainy breezy nights. Open the windows to let the breeze in, and keep doors closed to keep the bugs, lizards, and coquis outside! There are AC units in each bedroom area if you feel you need them, they can be run while you are sleeping (with the windows closed). . We love to sit in the pavilion and have coffee or beer / wine or have a nap in the hammock - and hope you will too! Our common areas around the property are shared spaces where you should expect to mingle with hosts, other guests, and the occasional caretaker. We want you to be happy with your stay and that means a ensuring we're a good fit for you. Our accommodations are simple and basic island style. There is a small hot water heater. Sometimes the power goes out, and when that happens the water pump doesn't work (so no water) We'd estimate this happens once or twice a month for a few hours. No parties or events are allowed (only registered guests are permitted). When reserving please be sure you list the accurate number of guests, as you will be required to register each of them with AirBnb as well as schedule your check in with your host shortly after reserving. With this reservation you have access to the whole house and just under an acre of land. Full use of the property and grounds. The property is fenced and gated. Our caretaker comes by to cut the grass and check on the property but won’t enter the house when we have a guest. We will schedule your check in and give you a walkthrough of your space, and be available as much as possible during your stay in person or via telephone. We would LOVE you to check in and review, comment, post on our (Hidden by Airbnb) Site, (Hidden by Airbnb) Business or (Hidden by Airbnb) pages. @finquitavistaalegrepr Our home is about 1.25 miles into the hills from the main exit of Ceiba, and we can really only see about one neighbor. Its remote, yet convenient, and tranquil despite lots of coqui's chirping. While we are remote, we're also about 15 minutes from Fajardo, Naguabo, Luquillo, and el Yunque - minutes to the Ferries and Airport in Ceiba to Vieques and Culebra, and about 45 minutes from San Juan, depending on traffic/time of day. You will need a car, as public transportation is scarce. There aren't much in the way of Uber / Taxi. You can schedule taxi's through Luquillo taxi, but only in advance. We can give you a few numbers for other taxis but you shouldn't expect 'instant availability' that might be expected in larger cities. Strong recommendation to have check-ins during daylight hours. it is very dark at night, and not a great idea for a guest to arrive, at that time, nor are we prepared to accommodate emergency requests during nighttime hours.
