Belmopan Tiny Houses is a Tiny House development with 5 beautiful "tiny" houses set in a natural forested environment. It's ideal for leisure and adventure; study abroad groups (we can host groups of up to 20), and for youth and adventurous tourists looking for a centralized location to travel and explore our jewel, Belize! It's in the forest so sightings of wild animalslike the howler monkey, opposums, wild rabbits, cotimundo, and beautiful birds are common! Also tarantulas (large spiders) etc The Belmopan Tiny Houses is a tiny house development in Belize's capital, Belmopan! It is set in a unique forest environment and provided a nature experience in our garden city! Each Tiny House has its own kitchenette, private bathroom, one bedroom plus a spacious loft perfect for sleeping! Outside is a boardwalk that connects all 5 tiny houses and also provides a space for relaxing and entertaining, especially for a group. We also have a campground where larger groups can pitch their tent! It is a space in nature and we hope our guests enjoy this natural environment! Guests have access to picnic tables, boardwalk, backyard bonfire pit with seating, hammocks and other common areas. There is ample space to spread out! I live off site 10 minutes drive away! I love going to the tiny houses to freshen up or work on small projects that fit into the big picture of a lovely and affordable forest retreat made for adventure and nature lovers! But I give my guests their space so they can truly feel like they are on a get-away and environment where they can connect with their inner self and with friends or family they visit with! The Salvapan area is one of the newer areas of Belmopan and looks more like a village than a city. Its unique as the village-like community has a traditional daily life and farm animals can be see around the neighborhood such as chickens and horses. Wildlife sightings on and around the tiny houses is also common including grey foxes, howler monkeys, birds of all kinds and other animals. Belmopan is among the smallest cities in the world and so expect to see things going at a much more relaxed pace than you are probably accustomed to! With that said, there are "busitos" or what you would call mini-vans that pass every 15 mins to 30 mins just 3 mins walk from the Belmopan Tiny Houses (US 75 cents per trip) and these go to the market area and other central places in Belmopan! Taxis is another option for a bit faster and more direct stops from destination to destination (costs vary US$4- 5 per trip within the city). It is important that guests know that I do not live on site and therefore them communicating their arrival plans in advance is very important to a smooth check-in. Many of our guests do not have internet and phone access during their trip; however a solution is to borrow a phone call from a Belizean on your arrival at the airport or an hour before your arrival time so that I can be right there to greet you!
