Come enjoy the beauty of the world's 6th most beautiful lake! Cabin located 0.7 miles from road end lake access. Crystal-clear, blue Higgins lake is one of Michigan's most sought after lakes and once you've visited here, you'll know why! There’s endless miles of ORV and snowmobile trails, two outstanding state parks, bike and walking trails, the mighty Au sable river nearby and more. Roscommon county is "ORV" friendly and allows golf carts and ATVs. A true recreational paradise! Our chalet is an open concept with a large deck off the kitchen, which makes it perfect for entertaining. There are two full bathrooms, one bedroom and a spacious loft space, which will collectively and comfortably, sleep 6. There is a mudroom at one entry and the living room space has high vaulted ceilings. Guests have access to entire cottage via a smart lock on the mudroom door, with exception to the garage and closet under the stairs. These are areas for the owners personal storage. The hosts are available at any time to aide in any issues or questions that may arise during a guest's stay. Here, you can choose to be in the middle of it all or away from the hustle of daily life. Our chalet is a short bike ride, even shorter golf cart ride, or a healthy walk to beloved Sam-o-set Park, a public park, dock and swimming area. At the end of Sam-o-set, there is a boat launch, suitable for many boats. About 1.5 miles to the north, there is the west Higgins boat launch. Countless ORV trails can be found right outside your doorstep here! Or simply stay at the cottage and enjoy tranquility and seclusion of the quiet road and forest around you. We recommend bikes, golf carts or side-by-sides to get around in the easiest of ways! There is a lot very near to the cottage, but it is not a city setting with sidewalks. We highly recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles whenever snow is possible. Not all roads are county maintained and we cannot guarantee speedy plowing to access or leave home. This cottage is tucked back in the woods and is not a lakefront property. The lake can be accessed 0.9 mile away from the cottage via township park.
