Who cares about the historical 1917 Crane Canyon Estate in Sonoma Wine Country with the prohibition-era speakeasy and tales of grand Gatsby-like parties?... Or the incredible panoramic views of Sonoma Wine Country?... Or the generous hosts who'll happily point you to the best off-the-beaten-path Sonoma and Napa county treasures... (or just as happily stay out of your way ;) ?... TAKE A BREAK FROM LIFE. We are here to help you do that. Gated, secure premises with enchanting views of Sonoma Wine Country. Plenty of parking. Air mattress available for children (or third wheel). Easy day trips to Napa Wine Country, Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Healdsburg (20 min) or Petaluma (15 min). Hosts happy to respect privacy or can act as friendly concierge to make your visit perfect. The guest house has two spacious bedrooms connected by a hallway with a shared bathroom and kitchenette, plus has ample (and then some!) private outdoor space with tremendous views year round. NOTES: * if your ideal vacation is best spent lounging by the pool, the Crane Canyon Estate is not your best bet. * this listing is not a good fit for families with children. * we love pets, but our Border Terrier pup has been beaten by a dog and now refuses to peacefully co-exist with another dog on the property. ;( Happy to provide any help matching wineries, restaurants and activities to your specific tastes. Friendly folks might even want to shoot some pool in the main house Speakeasy...Outdoor pool may or may not be available depending on the rental period (request in advance please.) Our area has so much beauty and endless wineries, breweries, restaurants and activities. Driving your own vehicle or using Ride services is recommended. Please note that the guest house is equipped with a kitchenette, NOT a full kitchen. The kitchenette has a sink, mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, griddle / hot plate, coffee maker - in other words, plenty to prepare quick meals on the go OR give you a great excuse to truly take a break and let our amazing local restaurateurs cater to your every need! The pool is solar heated and does get cold in the off-season. Be prepared to share it with the Hoffmans. Don't fret though - we hear they are one of the highlights of staying at the Crane Canyon Estate! :)
