Pemby Log House Getaway

Located on a scenic 4 acres, this Pemberton getaway location is ideal. It is close to town in an area that feels very private with country roads, farmers' fields, and gorgeous river walks. It is perfect for those heading out to the Hurley Pass, Whistler, Birkenhead, Lillooet, and Duffy Lake Road wildernesses. The Pemby Getaway is a rustic and eclectic log cabin built 40 years ago by our family. It will sleep 6 very comfortably but does sleep 8 for a surcharge of $25 extra per person per night for over 6 people. There is 1 full bathroom and a powder room, 1 bedroom with a queen and double, a master with a queen, a loft with a twin and a single bed. Rustic means that the home is older and not "perfect". All in fine order and fully equipped but NO decorative matching linens, perfectly matching utensils or dishes, glossy stone counters, or stainless steel appliances. The floors are concrete with rugs. In terms of the interior, it is an older home so appliances, finishes and fixtures are dated. The fridge, stove, and oven are regular older models that churn out marvellous meals. Please note that the home is not childproof and the loft is not suitable for children under the age of 12. There is plenty of parking out front of the house for those bringing their toys... bikes, snow mobiles, trailers, etc. It’s a great spot for groups coming up to enjoy the back country. And there is a fire ring in the back for hanging out. The front of the property is occupied by the barn, livestock, and an automotive repair shop. The property has farm animals including horses, chickens and pigs. The horses are lovely to look at in the mornings and they offer an extremely peaceful and tranquil setting. The neighbours livestock may also greet you. The entrance into the property appears industrial but once you get past the barn and automotive shop and enter the property there is plenty of quiet open space, a hot tub out back, and views to our beautiful Mt Currie. If nature, outdoors, mountains, space, and relaxation in a rustic cozy setting is what you are looking for then you will enjoy your time here.
