Nice place to walk run or read To get to my place from the metro or going into DC for touring, I recommend UBER. It is the most convenient, time saving and generally cheaper especially for 2. You can walk to either the Takoma Park metro or Silver Spring metro at nearly 1 mile. Also the bus provides straight ride to downtown DC...very inexpensive. 7 miles from the Monuments at the National Mall.
