Minimalist architectual jewel near Oaxaca City

Minimalist architectural jewel filled with light in Zapotec town 20 minutes from Oaxaca. We offer one trip a day without cost to the city. Taxis are easy to get. Guests have access to pool and organic vegetable garden. Great hiking. We are near interesting villages, including Tule with its grand tree. We offer tours of villages in the valley with different crafts, traditions, and cuisine. Full kitchen and appliances. We offer coffee and tea, fruit, fresh tortillas. We are located in the Zapotec town of Tlalixtac on the outskirts of the city. The town is home to 10,000 people and they are very friendly and helpful. . The town is clean, orderly, and lively with a beautiful central plaza, 16th century church, and a market which serves a great breakfast. There is hiking near and up the mountains. We are near three well-known restaurants, Palapa de Raul, El Milenario in Tule, and Caldo de Piedra (fish soup). There are smaller more down-home restaurants in the town and fresh fish restaurants around the lakes between Tlalixtac and Huayapam. Parking on property and property is guarded. From the street lights that mark junction between Highway 190 and Tlalixtac, one enters Tlalixtac passing a football field, a gravel dispensary, and tire repair shop, then turns right at a one story adobe house onto a dirt road which is Camino de la Cruz.
