"The Studio" is quite possibly the most perfectly situated home in all of Flatrock! Overlooking Flatrock harbour, this home is simply perfect, with floor to ceiling windows and unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean. This is the perfect location for the "Nature Seeker", looking for a quite retreat with breathtaking views, whale watching, hiking and so much more! Flatrock is a beautiful town, very authentic Newfoundland just 15 minutes to Downtown, St. John's. This home is New and Modern and has everything you'll need to enjoy your stay. On the main floor you have a full bathroom with stand-up shower, the lower bedroom with pull out sofa-bed. This room will contain the only television in the house as we've reserved the remainder of the house for taking in the views. The main living/dining/kitchen is open concept and a simply stunning space to relax, gather and unwind. Whether you're alone or with company, these views never get old. There is also a wood-burning stove for those colder evenings so don't forget to pick up a little wood or a few fire logs along your way. On the upper level you have the same amazing views, just from higher up! This area is complete with the study/work area with work desk and chair. The laundry, two bedrooms and the main bathroom with a deep soaker tub (with ocean views) and stand-up shower are also on the upper level. This house is located on the East Coast Trail at the Stiles Cove Path entrance. The entire property Entry is gained to the house via the keyless entry lock for your convenience. The Town of Flatrock holds beautiful scenery, hiking trails , and history, attracting tourists from not only various parts of Newfoundland but from all over North America. Historical sites include the Museum, located in the Town Hall building in Flatrock since 1988. The museum houses artifacts and photographs of life in Flatrock in the days of our forefathers. These include artifacts from the fishing and farming industry, kitchen artifacts, artifacts from the old St. Michael’s Church, as well as photos of the visit of Pope John Paul to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in 1984. The Grotto is a well visited historical point in Flatrock, formally dedicated on August 17th, 1958 by the Most Reverend P.J. Skinner, C.J.M. D.D.; Archbishop of St. John’s and is currently the largest religious Grotto in Eastern Canada.
