I am originally from Puerto Rico so like any proper latino I have a heart for hospitality. I have been in DC for the last 10 years so I know a thing or two about this great city. I have a passion for travel and so I love to open my doors to fellow travelers. I have designed this space to meet all your travel needs needs and pride myself on bringing a little taste of Latino hospitality right here in the nations capital :) The apartment is located 10-15 a min walk from the Rhode Island Metro, depending on how fast you walk, i'm 6'1" and have long legs so more like 10 for me. :) I live in the unit above. Close to H street corridor and just 3 miles or a quick Uber ride from the national mall **Inquiries for events or parties will be automatically declined** This is a studio apartment equipped with a kitchenette and a full fridge. Guest have access to the entire private unit. This is a basement unit and the entrance is in the rear of the house. There is two induction stove tops with a full set of pots and pans to cook full meal. Microwave, toaster oven and coffee maker. There is no full size oven. Unit includes, bedroom alcove, full bathroom and living room with a pull out couch. TV is connected to a streaming stick. Guest will have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and other streaming platforms. Guest may use the washer/dryer, but upon request. It is in the main part of the house, so it would just take a bit of coordination with me to make sure you can access it. I love meeting new people, I am always available for my guest as long as I am not in a work meeting. I will be around the house in the upper unit most afternoons and evenings and always enjoy stimulating conversation, provide tips about the best spots around town or simply a pleasant good morning and enjoy your day. The Brentwood neighborhood of Washington, DC is a historic neighborhood that has been flourishing more and more over the past five years. Close to other phenomenal neighbors like the Catholic University college town, the hip Brookland neighborhood, and the always eclectic Eckington neighborhood. Walking distance to the Rhode Island Ave. metro station. This is on the red line, which is our primary line. This line takes you to the major spots around the city. If you arrive to Union Station, the red line will take you straight to the Rhode Island ave. metro. If you don't feel like walking from there Uber and Lyft are both seamless transportation option in DC. Ask for a referral code and get your first ride either free or a discounted rate. The bus stops is also steps away from the house. You can hop on the D8 which will take you from and to Union Station. If you enjoying traveling with the locals and want to use our bus systems go to this website to plan your trip, (URL HIDDEN) The first steps coming off the parking pad is taller than usual. Please use the railing. You enter the apartment by using the steps going down to the basement.
