This is a fisherman's town, safe, great local seafood palapas and weather. Our house is brand new 5 A/C 3BR 4Bath Wifi and TV all kitchen utilities and electric no gas. Beautiful cobalt blue pool, with swim stools for cocktails, all in 1 story home for safety except our Spanish tiled mirador with ocean and coconut grove views. 300 mts from one of Mexico's 13 wonders: Palo Verde Estuary where you can take a boat ride and see crocs and 127 different birds and animals. Also the Turtle Sanctuary!! Villa André is on the residential strip leading from town to the Turtle Sanctuary called Tortuguario, a Bio-reserve which holds the Palo Verde Estuary one of Mexico's 13 wonders. You can take a boat ride through the mangroves and catch a peek of the diverse wildlife within the 935 square kilometers of beauty. Take the tour all the way to Paraíso Beach (30 min motor boat ride) and have the best fried shrimp and local zarandeado fish in town. If you feel like staying at Villa André lounging by the pool fabulous shrimp cocktail place Jessy & Max will deliver to our home. Order anything from ceviche to a full grilled Red Snapper. We also have our own Villa Andre cook Mrs Elba who will prepare any mean for you if required. Her husband Don Pedro will help you with any errand needed after 3:30 pm. If you and yours are the adventerous type go to the San Gabriel grotto. Take a 100 meter walk and rope way to the center of an 11 million year cave with stalactite and stalagmites or go to the sea salt dunes from February to June to see how our townspeople still "cultivate" salt with a 500 year old method making Cuyutlan's Salt and Salt Flower amongst the top 3 in the world. If you want more of a tourist than native feel. Drive to the port of Manzanillo, Mexico's #1 commercial port and go downtown for a look at the water colored fountains, take a sundae at Chantilly or have a steak dinner at Vaqueros. You can also charter whale watching and deep sea fishing trips when in season. The capital of the state also named Colima is a 40 minute drive away with all the big city amenities like fast food, high end restaurant, VIP movie theaters, posh brand name shopping at Centralia Super Mall etc At Villa André you are surrounded by options, lush miles of coconut palms and beautiful sea side views. The garden, sunset roof and pool are all yours. Privacy is one of our major interests and adds relaxation and self enjoyment. We have a wonderful caretaker named Don Pedro that will deliver the keys to you upon your arrival. If you cannot communicate in the local language he will let us know so we can provide anything you need additional from what is offered. Keys need to be returned to her on your way back home and she will review the Villa Andre with you before departure. As you read we are 500 ft from the turtle sanctuary, 40 minutes from the state capital Colima where you can find great urban living, brand name shopping, restaurants and night life. We are also a 40 min drive from the port of Manzanillo, Loya to see and enjoy there . We are about an hour away from Comala included in the Pueblo Mágico (Magic Towns) list which means it offers local foods and culture that are part of UNESCO heritage. Cómala us known for its amazing coffee route, Carrizalillo Lagoon where there is a mirror of water, Maria Lagoon which sits on an old volcanic crater, the Hacienda Noguera a 17th Century sugar plantation and the Manantlán Biosphere Reserve a protected area the largest in the west of amazing wildlife and vegetation. Also in Suchitlán a small town within Comala you can enjoy bountiful flora and fauna as well as a mangroves and a gastro-route with great restaurants and temazcales the native steam and hot spring baths, from natural waterholes. You would be best off having your own car as we are 2 mi from the main square. We also have a standard bicycle which you may use during your stay it has its helmet for safe riding. Remember the turtle sanctuary is about half a mile away, closed at 5pm and boat rides are best before noon to take cover from the sunny sky. Also 3/4 of a mile on he opposite direction you hit the palapas and sea shore restaurants. All our services are electric no gas. Meaning we have burners and grill as well as electric oven and microwave for cooking and a BBQ Grill at your disposal. Water heater is also electric and will be switched on by our caretaker for hot water. One water gallon will be supplied per stay. If more are needed guests must purchase it in town. We set a full water jug and have an empty one for easy purchasing at local stores.
