Stroll over to St. John the Divine, the continent's largest gothic cathedral. Columbia University is right on the other side of Morningside Park which has a lovely duck pond and waterfall. Your Tempurpedic queen bed sleeps two. Curtains are light-blocking and you can control your own air/heat. Apple TV with Netflix. You'll be sharing this two-bedroom, two bath home in a mixed neighborhood with the writer who lives here. No one will have access to your bedroom and ensuite bath but you. Amenities include a shelf of your own in the refrigerator. Ingredients for breakfast (cereal, milk, eggs, coffee and tea, toast, butter, jam) provided the first day, coffee and tea every day. The living room is available for lounging and the office is available for writing, reading, or looking out the stained glass window. You will be sharing this two bedroom, two bath apartment with a writer. In summer the furnished rooftop is a great shared space to have a glass of wine and see the skyline glow. I am a writer and often work from home. Happy to make suggestions, give directions, and give you your space! South Harlem is HOT! It's a blend of historic and spanking new, local and foreign, and the upbeat energy is palpable. And while there's shopping and sightseeing here, it's easy to get anywhere else in Manhattan from here, too. The local subway trains that stop a block away will get you to midtown in under 15 minutes. Or you can walk 10 blocks to the express trains. 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other. . . 5 blocks to Central Park, under 15 minute walk to Columbia University. There's plenty of public transportation. The B and C subway lines are one short block away, as are stops for 4 bus lines.
