Located in the stunning Cache Estates at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, let the Elk Lodge be your home away from home while you enjoy your ski-in/ski-out vacation! Our 4 bedroom log home is fully equipped with everything you’ll need throughout your stay! The upper floor has your king master bedroom with ensuite and a jetted tub with separate shower. Also on this floor is the loft with another queen bed, sitting area, balcony with a view of Kicking Horse and Bail Out runs, a nook area with a desk all overlooking the main floor living room, dining room and kitchen. Your main floor living and dining room is a perfect place to unwind with the family next to the fire after a day on the hill! A wood burning fireplace in the living area provides ambiance and warmth to gather around. Additional warmth is provided by in floor heating. The open concept kitchen is filly equipped with all of the major appliances, pots, pans, and essentials you will need to keep your crew energized. Off the kitchen is the rear deck with oversized log picnic table and gas BBQ. Also on the main floor is your second bedroom with a queen bed, bathroom with shower and the laundry room. As you enter through the garage, you’ll find the stacked firewood ready to enjoy and a gear room perfect for suiting up before heading to the lift! The lower level of the house has has your third bedroom with a king bed and full ensuite bathroom. This bathroom also has access to the lower living room and is shared with the fourth bedroom with a double over queen bunk bed. The lower living room is set with a sofa bed, gas fireplace, tv with satellite and has access to the 8 person hot tub out back. For your little one, the house is equipped with a high chair, pak’n’play with overnight mattress, play mat and some engaging toys. For your bigger little ones, board games, puzzles, colouring books, dvd’s and books are located throughout the house for your enjoyment. Winter The home is located in the Cache Estates at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Ski out on “Bail Out” trail right to the top of your street. If snow permits, ski right down the road and into the driveway! When you want to head back out to the hill, a quick 2 minute walk to the top of the street where you can strap in and ride “Bail Out” trail right to the Pioneer chair or follow the trail down to the day lodge and hop back on the Gondola. A 5 minute walk or 2 minute ski takes you to 5 restaurants, 3 bars, gondola, day lodge, rental shop, lift ticket office, general store, and snowmobile guided tours. Just a short gondola ride to world class Eagles Eye Restaurant. Short chairlift ride to Grizzly Bear refuge. 20 km of groomed Dawn Mountain cross country ski trails are just yards away from the front door! For those who have never skied Kicking Horse, this mountain has it all! Known as the Champagne Powder Capital of Canada, find steep and gnarly chutes, to fast and fun glades, and even smooth and gentle groomers. The on snow experience at Kicking Horse is exceptional for the whole family. Spring, Summer, Fall Enjoy what the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has to offer with all levels of mountain bike terrain and bike rentals. Take in the spectacular Purcell Mountain Range views on a sightseeing trip up the gondola to panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains, Columbia River Wetlands and the Town of Golden. At an altitude of 7,700ft. Hike across you favourite ridge into the bowls for even more spectacular views. For those looking to step outside of their comfort zone, give Via Ferrata (iron road) a go! This climbing experience gives all skill level of climbers a safe climbing environment using steel steps, handles, ladder rungs, and a steel cable that have been securely bolted to the mountain face. If heights are not your thing, consider getting wet while whitewater rafting your way down the Kicking Horse River! How about a round of mini golf, the driving range or 18 holes? The Golden Golf Club is just 7 km away from the Elk Lodge. It offers one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences you will find in Canada. The natural beauty of the Columbia Valley makes the golf course an instant classic. Designed by Bill Newis and Les Furber, the course offers a fun but challenging layout. The stunning Rockies and Purcell mountains are uniquely framed, and each hole tells a great story.
