Cozy townhouse
FEMALES: This quiet, comfortable townhouse has one bedroom with queen-size bed available for a female guest. References required! Best suited for serious graduate or medical students or professionals. Perfect if you are looking for a peaceful, quiet and serene get away. By the way, the master bedroom is available only in limited circumstances. Very simply, people love to visit here! But females only please! My townhouse is a great place to recharge and relax. I provide freshly laundered sheets, towels and accessories including WiFi and Netflix. I am renting my smaller guest room with queen bed and private full bath. I have a small garden in front and free parking available. Cat is clean, quiet and unobtrusive. Also as host, I'll be staying here at home as well. Guests have access to the kitchen (modern kitchen with upgrades), private bedroom and full private bathroom. I have a washer and dryer ~and you will have access to gym, tennis courts (depending on the weather, of course!) and outdoor pool. I would welcome guests using any area of the house, as well as my little back porch! I am very quiet, unobtrusive and independent. Based on your preferences and the purpose for your travel, I can either leave you to explore on your own or recommend some favorite places in Philadelphia, PA (including the suburbs) and the surrounding area. When I host graduate students, professionals or medical students who intern at local medical schools and hospitals, I offer a lot of privacy and quiet. Zero interruption on my end unless you have a specific need or question. Always available to help if needed. While I am located in a community of town homes/condos, my neighborhood is safe, charming and quiet. There are so many wonderful places to see: Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Museum (works by N.C., Jamie & Andrew Wyeth, as well as Howard Pyle), GREAT vineyards, Ridley Creek State Park, Tyler Arboretum, great restaurants, lovely shopping area including a wonderful food market and the popular Terrain (farm-to-table) with it's greenhouse Cafe, seasonal outdoor market, garden & educational courses. Downtown just 30 minutes away: the Barnes Foundation, The Kimmel Center, The Rodin Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and the Contemporary Art Museum. Several great theaters including the Suzanne Roberts Theater, The Academy of Music, The Walnut Street Theater, The Wilma Theater, The Forrest Theater and finally, The World Cafe. Wonderful theater and performances! Many fine colleges, graduate and medical schools. Bryn Mawr has a wonderful independent theater with many special film events and lectures. The Philadelphia Airport is about 15-20 minutes away. There is a train 10 minutes away by car (either the Elwyn or Media line R-3) to Center City, Philadelphia. (Buses and a trolley are nearby since I'm only 8 minutes from downtown Media, PA, a burgeoning hotspot with great restaurants, live music, theater, and various seasonal farmer's markets. Wilmington, DE is not too far and I’ve rented to medical residents and doctors from A.I. DuPont. Friendly, but also very quiet, unobtrusive and independent. Based on your preferences and the purpose for your travel, I can either leave you to explore on your own or recommend some favorite places in Philadelphia, PA (including the suburbs) and the surrounding area. For those who express an interest, I know the area well and love to help those guests have fun. When I host female graduate students, professionals or medical students who intern at local schools and hospitals, I offer a lot of privacy and quiet. Peaceful and very quiet. Very walkable community. See above information. I would request no entertaining of other people or guests during your visit. I live in a non-smoking environment. Note: I would also add, I ask that guests clean up the kitchen, load dishwasher after each use, and generally keep the home clean.
