Philosophy Place

The beautiful flat has panoramic views across Kingston to the Caribbean Sea, lush environs, cozy artistic elegance in an open floor plan, a combined shower/jacuzzi/steam bath, washer/dryer, a patio, a pool off patio, outdoor areas for walking/exercising/covening, and 24-hour security for its gated community. It is a special place of quietude and inspiration for completing special projects to make the world a better place. The apartment resides in a gated community named the Promenade, in the neighborhood of Jacks Hill near Cherry Gardens in Kingston, Jamaica. It has an open space plan allowing visitors to see from one end of the unit to the other, with significant light. In its rectangular space, it has: A) a kitchen with an island bar and 4 oak stools, B) a sitting area - sofa pulls out into a queen bed ; International cable TV; C) a sleeping area with a queen bed, dresser and armoire; D) a dining area with a table that opens to seat up to 12 people; E) a full bathroom containing a steam-bath, jacuzzi, rain & regular shower; F) a laundry room with a washer and dryer; G) Patio with teak table and chairs. IT IS A NO-SMOKING APARTMENT. Visitors may access the entire floor of the apartment and all of the common space of the Promenade complex, including the swimming pool, the tennis court (sometimes used for other exercise activities), and the paths and trails inside of the Promenade. And certainly I along with my colleague and Property Manager Marcia, shall respond immediately to any possible challenges at the apartment should they arise. The official name of the apartment's gated community is the Promenade Residential Country Club, Promenade residents live in its a apartments, townhouses, and stand-alone homes that constitute it. It is an expansive property in which some of the residents take walks, and some take walks beyond the Promenade into the rolling hiss of the larger Jacks Hill community and the neighboring Cherry Gardens community. I encourage guests to take some of these beautiful walks. If you rent a car during your stay, a reserved parking space is available for you in front of the unit. It takes about 5 minutes to drive down the hill from the apartment to either Barbican Circle or Manor Park, where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, diverse shops and public transportation. Walking takes 20-30 minutes, The drive to New Kingston or downtown Kingston takes 10-20 minutes. During rush hour, driving times will be longer. Many guests who do not seek to rent a car, find it helpful to work with a primary local taxi driver to help them with their movements around the city and the island. Should you seek to hire the services of the driver who supports me at Bikram Yoga Jamaica and at Philosophy Place, just let me know. Since the Promenade sits on a hill above sea level (1669 feet/508 meters) the weather may be a bit cooler than on the flats. Regardless, I always recommend sunscreen and mosquito repellent. - ALL OF THE DOORS AND WINDOWS FOR THE APARTMENT HAVE MESH SCREENS FOR KEEPING THE MOSQUITOS OUTDOORS.
