Crosswinds is a traditional Caribbean Bungalow with screened louvered windows taking advantage of the inevitable Caribbean breezes out here in the middle of the ocean. Adjacent to The Baths, the British Virgin Islands' most revered destination on one side, and Spring Bay National Parkon the other, your most difficult decision will be which of six beaches to go to, car-free!. Spring Bay Beach is a mere 4-6 minute walk. Come soon. On land littered with elephantine boulders, rustling palm trees and glorious gardens, Crosswinds Villa is a fully furnished, three bedroom escape just a four minute walk from the beach at Spring Bay.  With daily maid service, all you need do is relax and enjoy the views of Sir Francis Drake Channel from the 1,000 Sq. foot deck, or bathe in crystal blue green water at the white sand beaches of Spring Bay, Spring Bay National Park, Little Trunk Bay, Valley Trunk Bay, The Baths and Devil's Bay.....all within walking or snorkeling distance. After returning from any number of beaches you are less than a mile from Virgin Gorda's best restaurants, all of the island's food shopping, the ferry dock and our small airport. Everyone's favorite feature is Crosswind's 1000 square foot west facing deck with water and palm studded views, outdoor living and dining room, gas grill, hammock, chaises and rocking chairs. Crosswinds' deck is tropical outdoor living at it's most relaxed and what you should expect in your tropical dreams. November to May we live in an apartment attached to the villa due to Hurricane Irma. During the off season our caretaker or housekeeper will greet you and 'introduce' you to the house Beyond overseeing the preparation and polishing between guests, they are available to greet you, show you the house, answer any questions and leave you alone as much as you prefer. Their number is on the refrigerator and you are welcome to call for any reason at all! You will be well taken care of whenever you arrive. Our enclave of 11 homes is on Spring Bay, situated between Spring Bay National Park and The Baths National Park. Four beaches are within walking distance, the furthest 12 minutes. The Baths and Devil's Bay are within easy snorkeling distance. This luxury of easily accessible beaches allows everyone in your party to come and go to the beach as they are ready rather than being dependent on one car. There is also a great wealth of beaches and reefs around the island for exploring, too many to see in a week, or maybe even two! You can fill a week's busy schedule all within a three mile radius from daily snorkeling excursions to food shopping to elegant tropical restaurants. Car rentals are available by the day, one day, a few days or more with a full range of options from fun to semi posh. There are also taxis available with a phone call or going out to the street though this option is really a day time option as it is very quiet at night. We can also direct to a single taxi driver who will be there for you your entire trip! Everything in Virgin Gorda revolves around the water and beaches. Leave the golf clubs home and forget about gambling. Plan on snorkeling and relaxing by the water all day. There are ample opportunities to explore other islands for the day or half the day on a variety of sail and motor boats. Rent a car and explore a large number of beaches, snorkeling spots, hiking and natural beauty. Take advantage of the high end spas and resorts though you will then be glad you have Spring Bay and her sunsets to return to.
