River Town Main St, Room 1
Located on the quiet main street of the historic Hudson River village of Coxsackie, NY, Room 1 offers a bird's eye view of the village's quiet, historic main street, a queen bed and a twin bed, a kitchenette, lounge/dining area, private bathroom with shower, a flat screen TV with Roku, WiFi, and AC/Heat. Your room is steps away from the gorgeous Riverside Park. Stroll along the edge of the Hudson and watch the tug boats, river tides, and birds go about their lives. Located on the 2nd floor. Coxsackie is a small, historic Hudson River village. The 1800s brick storefront buildings all along the village's main street have been well preserved. You will be staying in one of them! Original wide plank pine floors warm up the room, and the nearby riverside park is the main attraction. This unit is located on the 2nd floor above our very own small business: the Mansion + Reed General Store. You are just steps away from an oat milk maple cinnamon latte, specialty NY State groceries, local craft beer, and snacks! The beds have new 12" Memory Foam mattresses to ensure a great night's sleep. This room's kitchenette offers all you need for a stay including a coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster oven, and mini-fridge with a separate freezer, and a microwave. We have also recently added a filtered water tap so you can have all the fresh, filtered water you need for cooking and drinking (no need to buy bottled water!). You will have this loft-like guest suite all to yourself. A coded entry lock allows you to come and go as you please without needing to check-in with me in person. I live downstairs and also split the General Store shop hours with my twin sister, so I am always close by to offer help or suggestions. Your privacy and personal enjoyment are important to me, so you won't see me unless you want to! Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need anything at all. Coxsackie is a very small, quaint riverfront village perched on the Western banks of the Hudson River. In many ways, the Village is still in-progress with empty storefronts and some construction/ revitalization projects going on 2 blocks away. You will be able to experience Coxsackie just as she is coming back to life with a few new businesses and loads of potential! Our contribution, along with guestrooms units for visitors, is that we opened a General Store a few years ago. We just finished an expansion of our space and are happy to offer many delicious specialty groceries and goods- the majority of which are sourced from NY State and Greene County. Come by and stock up on all the necessities for your stay with us and try out a great cup of coffee! Reed St also offers a wine shop, Italian Restaurant, breakfast and lunch spot, and an amazing Riverside Park. Just up the hill on 9W, we have more restaurants, a pub, and a diner. The towns of Athens (with the award-winning Crossroads Brewery), Catskill, and Hudson are short 10-20 minute drives away with more great restaurants, bars, shopping, and antiques. The surrounding area offers as many farms, orchards, and hikes as you could hope for. Be sure to check out our website which lists our recommendations for the best sights, hikes, and eats in the area! The Hudson Amtrak station in Hudson, NY, is the nearest train station. There are several taxi services or car rental options there. Hudson is a 20 minute drive across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge from Coxsackie. We are a 2.5 hour drive north of NYC and 30 minutes south of Albany, NY. The area does not offer much in the way of public transportation, so if you want to explore the surroundings, a car is recommended. Some car services are available in the area-though in slower months they can be a bit spotty- just a heads up! This suite is located on the 2nd floor of our building with one flight of stairs leading to the space. We do have a chair lift installed on this flight of stairs in case you need a boost! There is also plentiful on-street parking right across the street.
