Just 30 minutes down the Eastern Shore from Halifax & perched on the ocean with a wide open view, this waterfront property offers a perfect Maritime holiday! Enjoy beaches, bike the trails, swim, hike, visit a fishing wharf or just relax. This house is located in a fishing community that is home to both permanent residents as well as cottage owners. This is a 1320 square foot ocean front two level home, with a large yard, that our family uses as a cottage. The house is on an island, joined to the mainland by the Causeway Road, giving it complete access to the great communities of Seaforth, Lawrencetown and Porters Lake. The house is well maintained with comfortable beds and bed linens, washer, dryer, bbq, coffee maker, fridge, stove and microwave. A fire pit is on the property. The whole house is available including an upper level with 2 well appointed bedrooms. The master bedroom is large with a queen bed and a sitting area that overlooks the water. Beautiful to watch the Blue Herons feed at low tide. The main level has the living space, kitchen and bathroom. There is also a family fun room/bedroom at the back of the house that has a queen bed and a couch that could be used as a bedroom for a guest. Available any time by cell phone or email. We live 30 minutes away and are available in person if required. This is a cottage that is used all year by our family and we typically only rent one month a year. Please note our lovely cottage is set up for maximum enjoyment in true Airbnb fashion, but is not set up as a business that's only purpose is renting out. The house is on a road with a great beach, a fishing village and lots of exploring. Lawrencetown beach is 7 km away. Restaurants are within a 10 minutes drive. Porters lake is a 15 minute drive and has a large grocery store with restaurants, gas and an assortment of businesses. A car is require to get around. Bikes are great for getting to the beach or adventures in the immediate community along the nearby rail trail system. Water for the house is from a cistern so please be sure to use water wisely! We have WiFi.
