Mont Carpe Diem Boutique Inn is situated only 10 miles from the city of San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico. It is a paradise of infinite peace within the tropical forest in the mountains of southern Bayamón, adjacent to Aguas Buenas and Guaynabo. We live in the main residence but have three separate cottages in the forest where our guests can find privacy and tranquility. Since we are not a guesthouse with many rooms, you will not find many guests here during your stay. Each cabin consists of a room and private bathroom. Tastefully decorated in a charmingly eclectic style. All have mini-fridge and coffee-making facilities. Personal hygiene products, towels and white sheets are provided. Air conditioning and fans are at your disposal in the rooms. We conceived this place for our guests to live fully in touch with nature. There is no WIFI in these cabins, only in the main house. 15 acres of land where you can walk and breathe pure mountain air by the rustic trails often in the company of our curious peacock, who will not hesitate to offer the spectacle of their colorful feather tails. Please wear appropriate footwear for walking in the mountains and make use of support canes which we supply here. You may also take the daring route and hike through the virgin forest. Beautiful semi Olympic pool where you can swim or simply relax in absolute tranquility. Spacious terrace overlooking the sea and the city where we serve breakfast until 10:00 a.m., lunch until 3:00 p.m. or dinner until 9:00 p.m.. Free WIFI in the main house. Request our varied gastronomic services, with countless recipes of local and international cuisine made by our French chef. We are in the best position to please you in all your food preferences, even if you have a special diet with dishes that are not on our menu, however the only thing we ask is that you inform us in advance. Our chef needs the time for shopping and the pre-preparation of your food. We kindly ask you to understand that we offer the service to our guests so that they can relax in this place but we are not a restaurant open to the public which respects your privacy. That said, to guarantee your meals, please inform us before your arrival at Mont Carpe Diem about your preferences and choice of dishes through the forms you will receive from us. It is a quiet and secluded place. No shops, supermarkets, restaurants and other public places nearby within walking distance. The height is 2000 feet above sea level. The temperature fluctuates between 19 and 30 degrees Celsius all year. The rains are frequent and torrential as in all tropical environment. The sun is intense. This is a wooded and rural environment and we are not lacking crickets, beetles, scorpions, centipedes, frogs, lizards, etc. This is a rural area only accessible by car through mountain roads. (Exploring Puerto Rico requires a car.) We are at your disposal to assist in everything you need. Just let us know your preferences.
