This beautiful quiet family home on Shuswap Lake between Blind and Eagle Bay accommodates 2 families (max 10 people) very comfortably. It can be enjoyed during any season as it is a fully winterized home. It is rentable a minimum of one week during peak season (summer). Contact us for longer term off-season rentals for discounted rates. This fully furnished and nicely decorated home was our parent's retirement home for 23 years, until 2014. Painted in 2015; all beds, linens and towels are new. Much of the furniture is new and in 2020 we installed vinyl hardwood throughout the lower floor. The kitchen has everything you will need and more. There is a living room, rec room, breakfast room, dining room, large upstairs deck and lower patio accessed via the walkout basement, and a large grassy lawn. There is a new sitting area on the lawn with a firepit when the water is too high to be on the beach in the spring. The house has 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It is beautiful during any season, as a ski or Christmas getaway, Thanksgiving or Easter celebration, spring or fall getaway, and of course between June and September it is wonderful to enjoy being right on the lake with the sunny private beach and dock. There are many things to do, and places to visit and enjoy on the Shuswap. The home can accommodate one or two families comfortably to a maximum of 10 people. For off season longer stay rentals, please contact us. Note: at current the hot tub is not operational. There are two firepits, lawn sitting area, flatstone beach, (old) canoe, new dock and picnic table and all outdoor furniture. The house is equipped with full kitchen amenities (dishes, appliances, etc.), all spices and supplies, and the dining table can fit 10. There is also a sunroom which has a table for four. There are a washer and dryer available and supplies for use. The deck has two patio dining sets, and the walkout patio has a lovely antique wicker chair set. There are many chairs for the beach, walkout patio, and front lawn. We will interact with the guests as much or as little as they like via email, text and phone; however, we are not on-site and have a representative nearby managing our property when we are not there. We are on a point on a small bay with little noise or boat traffic. Several residents live year round in their homes in this small neighborhood. This area does not get frequented by houseboats as it is quite a distance from Sicamous by boat. There are nearby attractions and dining opportunities by boat both down and across the lake. No public transit. This home uses a septic system, so we limit the guests to 10 for this reason. We MAY allow a pet upon request; however, it is important that pets be extremely well behaved (e.g. not barking, tearing up carpet, on furniture and beds etc.) and all waste is removed from the property promptly. Pets must stay on our property.
