This newly renovated antique house in Baddeck is your home away from home on the Cape Breton Island. Set on a slope overlooking the Bras d'or Lake, it is the perfect base for exploring the various attractions on the Cape Breton Island. It is 5 minutes' drive to Baddeck town center and the Bell Museum; around 100KM from Ingonish Beach and the Cape Breton Highlands National Park to the north; 110KM from the Fortress of Louisbourg to the east, and 90KM from Cheticamp to the west. The frame of this house is probably century old and was moved to the current location more than 50 years ago. Due to the enormous effort of previous owners and our the recent renovation, the house retained its original architectural style, while having all the modern comfort. Detail: On the second floor, there are 3 bedrooms (Queen / Full size bed in each room) and a full bathroom. Living and dinning room, fully equipped kitchen (with stove, oven, microwave, fridge and variety of cooking and dinning utensils) and a half washroom (sink and toilet) are on the first floor. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. Max. Sleeps 6. We fell in love with this scenic area on our first visit and would love to share this little piece of heaven with our guests. Guests will have access to the ground floor, which includes a dinning room, a living room (with mock fireplace and a sofa bed), another sitting area, a kitchen and a powder room (with sink and toilet). All 3 bedrooms and the full bathroom are on the second floor. Our family will be around to provide any help needed. A vehicle is recommended to enjoy the area. Plenty of parking space right behind the house.
