This historic, grand wooden house was built in the 1930's. Situated on 25 acres of private property between two beaches one black, one white sand minutes away. Spectacular ocean views from 70 ft veranda. Beautiful gardens, orchard and coastal forest. We are now Covid certified. This means that if you are arriving from a Covid high risk country such as US or Europe you can quarantine in our lodging. This 1930's Villa is a beautiful home, lovingly built in the colonial times and rich with history. It was the former home of Elma Napier, writer and politician. It is beautifully furnished with many of the original peices of antique furnishings. The house is ideal for families and groups. It has also functional for special occasions, celebrations and weddings. Guests have access to the gardens, ochards and coastal forestland. The Guests will have access to the gardens, orchards and coastal forest, which are enclosed on 25 acres of land. There are also two beaches, one black sand, the other white, minutes away from the Estate. The 'red rocks' with its mysterious caves is are also accessible. Guests are encouraged to participate with the farming and gardening activities, such as fruit picking, harvesting and planting. The village of Calibishie is a senic, peaceful place. The people are by nature helpful and hospitable. There are a number of beaches and rivers. Opportunities to hike the interior forestland (with a guide if necessary). Guests can choose to explore the variety of Restaurants and Bars available. There are also many shops and local artisans selling their hand made craft. There is a local bus service. We are aslo able to assisit and advise you in organising Car Rental, if necessary.
