The White Crow is a cozy home away from home - sunny and sparkling clean! You will have full privacy with private entrance and driveway. The full kitchen is stocked with all cooking and dining needs. 4 burner cooktop, microwave and fancy toaster oven. Guests report the queen size bed very comfortable, bedroom dark and quiet. An additional single bed is available if requested. Shared access to outdoor campfire in our large private backyard. *Pets are welcome- +$20/stay We have a punch code door lock private entrance so you can enter the private guest suite with no muss, no fuss. We renovated our space in 2019- it is clean, safe and quiet. -You have large hall entrance, with ample storage for boots/shoes and coats. -The kitchen is fully stocked with range, microwave and oven plus all basic kitchen supplies. -The living room is cozy with couch and comfy rocking chair. -You have internet and cable t.v. (Website hidden by Airbnb) -Bathroom will be clean and towels etc. all provided. -Bedroom has comfy and clean queen bed, lots of space, dressers and a blind with curtains to create dark sleeping environment. Valley is a safe community, busy with many persons leading active lifestyles - run, walk, cycle. Our neighborhood has a network of catwalks, many sideroads with sidewalks or very low traffic, and a few quiet parks and playgrounds. Valley Variety store is a 10 minute walk from The White Crow, while the Ultramar On the Run gas station and McDonalds restaurant are 15 minute walk from our home. Derek and I (Dawn) generally are not far away, but may be out on various adventures in the neighbourhood - cycling, golfing, hiking, or swimming. We will do our best to respond to any emails promptly. The White Crow is located in Valley, a small bedroom community two kilometers off Exit 17, Trans Canada Hwy 104. Valley has quiet streets for leisurely walks, or cycling and many nearby green spaces to enjoy (including a pond with large goldfish! and a snapping turtle). The Variety store is a few blocks away; the local Ultramar gas station about two minute drive, while the closest mini mall - grocery store / liquor store/drug store to our home is about a 5 minute drive. Valley is about 10 km, or a 15 minute taxi drive to Truro. Truro is a town of about 12,000 which has several lovely restaurants, Saturday's Farmers Market, Victoria Park, a winter skating oval at Truro Civic square and a new library. We are one block from a Trans Canada Trail connector section; less than one kilometer to the Blue Route, a 45 min. drive to beautiful Wentworth Valley (with ski hill) or 3 1/2 hour drive Cape Breton Highlands National park. Valley is a ten minute drive to Truro, N.S. which, is the Hub of Nova Scotia. Truro and area, boasts of many nearby little adventures you can explore such as: - Victoria Park, with hundreds of acres of walking/hiking and cycling trails plus two waterfalls - The World highest tides. Visit the Tidal Bore viewing site at the Fundy Discovery Site - Millbrook Cultural and Heritage Centre - a Mi'kmaq Museum that shares the diverse history of the First Nation People of Nova Scotia - The Mi'kmawey Debert Interpretive Trail where you may be able to " picture an ice-age landscape with mastodons, caribou, and giant beavers wandering over the tundra that covered Mi’kma’ki more than 11,000 years ago. Imagine communities of people who lived at the base of the Cobequid Mountains for more than a thousand years. " as stated on their Trail website. The White Crow was named after the rare opportunity to closely observe white crows mature in our backyard two years in a row (2018 and 2019).
