Original Rustic Beachfront Cottage
One of the Original cottages of Summerville Beach. Beautiful 180 view of beach, beachfront, walk to the beach in 2 mins. Across from the new Quarter Deck restaurant. 10 mins to historic Liverpool, 10 mins from famous Carters Beach, Keji Park, and 1.5 hours to Halifax. Trails, bikes and kayaking available. Get ready to step back in time! This rustic seaside cottage has been in our family since the 1920s and is one of the few ORIGINAL beach cottages of Summerville Beach. There are minimal upgrades and we love it that way! You will see original pictures of our family and local memorabilia. It still maintains much of the original charm. If you want upgrades and cookie cutter fake wood floors, fancy lighting and chrome bathroom fixtures - this is NOT the experience for you. This is a genuine step back in time. You can choose to cook inside with a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ on the back deck or go out to one of the many great local restaurants. The beach is right in front and there are great walking/biking trails behind the cottage. This cottage is indisputably the very best view, access to the beach and the Quarterdeck combined in the immediate area. When you stay here you are staying for that reason. If you want a TV, you'll have to go to the Quarterdeck :) *There is absolutely no partying or guests allowed. We live close by and the neighbors are very aware of the comings and goings of this location, with that said we are very friendly and accommodating. This seaside retreat is perfect for a quiet couple or single person. We do not do this for a business, we do not own several locations. We genuinely like people and sharing this lovely cottage with others who will respect and enjoy this perfectly located vacation opportunity. **To be considered to stay here you must have at least one year of Airbnb history and 2 positive feedback reviews. Full Access We live nearby and are available for questions, suggestions and a tour of the area if interested. * Complimentary Super Delicious Homemade baked goods in the welcome basket! Upon reservation please choose from; Mini Blueberry Bread, Mini Lemon Bread, or Mini Banana Bread. Summerville Beach Provincial Park, located off Route 3 at Summerville Centre, is one of the finest sandy beaches on the South Shore. The 1-km (0.5-mi) light-sand beach is backed by sand dunes (nesting area for Piping Plover; please keep to designated paths) and an open salt marsh. Picnic tables are out in the open but each has a roof to provide shade. However that's only if people insist on long showers and over use of water. In the rare case that this happens and you need a shower you can come to the house to shower. Extra water is always provided. Drinking water is supplied as the water is not suitable for drinking.
