Photos cannot do it justice. The main villa of this large private estate has four very spacious bedrooms, all with large ensuite bathrooms. Easily accommodates 10 people. Just down the garden path is the super cute Garden Cottage, a wooden chalet with two floors, each with one bedroom, wraparound deck that has outdoor bathroom (louvers for privacy but only birds in the trees can see!). Usually rented with the main villa for large groups, but can be rented separately. The two floors of the Garden Cottage are connected by an outside stair; not suitable for small children. The cottage has its own kitchenette, dining and living area on lower level. You have access to the entire eight acre gardens of the estate. Be sure to visit the raised bed vegetable gardens. Part of your dinner will be sourced there! There are many tropical fruit trees throughout the gardens too. Our gardener will be delighted to take you on a tour. We set up a (Hidden by Airbnb) group with you and the local manager a few days before your arrival. This is the most reliable means of communication with the manager while you are in Jamaica. You can easily communicate your itinerary and ETA, needs for transport, meal on arrival, as well as coordinate your requirements for meals, excursions and other issues during your stay. Norse Hill is near the sleepy, unspoiled town of Port Antonio on Jamaica's north coast. Never a tourist mecca, now it is still a perfectly serene escape. The closest small beach is 15 minutes' walk down a private path; from the beach, you snorkel out to the reef in a marine reserve to watch thousands of neon fish. Taxi back, or stroll (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) minutes up the hill. The butler will have iced rum punch waiting! You can dine in and enjoy our chef's expertise or visit one of the local restaurants. There's even a new pizzeria close by, as well as upscale options in GeeJam Hotel (a short stroll down the road) or several other choices. The north coast of Jamaica is always lush and green. The best beaches are here! At least half a dozen highly ranked beaches are within a few minutes' drive of Norse Hill Estate. Often they are deserted except for a few weekend visitors from Kingston. You can go rafting on the Rio Grande with a stop at the famed Belinda's outdoor restaurant for a delicious lunch of Jamaican food. Climb Reach Falls, go hiking, horseback riding in the surf, snorkelling ...... many more options for fun and relaxation.
