The Island Gales cottage on Forest Hills Lane offers the best of both worlds! This remodeled and beautifully decorated vacation home is not only centrally located and seconds from all amenities and activities Cavendish has to offer, it is also on a private treed lot with plenty of green space for kids and adults to play. The property has 3 bedrooms plus a loft, 2.5 bathrooms, fully equipped spacious kitchen, large dining area, bright comfortable living room area, covered front porch, large side deck and fire pit. The cottage sleeps 10 people. As you walk in the door, you are greeted with the spacious kitchen which offers stainless steel appliances, ample counter space and storage, pantry and an island with seating for three people. The large dining area with gorgeous vaulted pine ceiling is situated just beyond the kitchen with seating for eight people. There are large windows overlooking the front porch and the landscaped front yard. Adjacent to the dining room is the bright airy living room that features two large sofas for comfortable seating, fireplace, TV/Sat and DVD player, to help you relax after your long days of exploring. Also found on the main level is the master (queen) bedroom with 3 piece ensuite located on the north side of the cottage. On the south side of the cottage is the full bathroom, full size washer and dryer and the second bedroom which features another queen bed. Upstairs, you will find the third bedroom with double bed and twin bed, a loft area with three twin beds, a bench for reading and half bathroom. The cottage also offers a large side deck located on the north side which is easily accessible from the living/dining area. The deck is outfitted with propane BBQ, dining tables and chairs along with comfortable conversation seating area. Enjoy the gorgeous summer evenings out on the deck or sitting around the adjacent fire pit, with a crackling fire and roasting marshmallows. For the early risers, you can enjoy your morning coffee on the front covered porch while listening to the sounds of the morning birds. For golfers in the group, some of PEI's premiere courses are nearby such as Green Gables, Eagles Glenn and Forest Hills Lane (at the end of the street). Seconds away (within walking distance) from the cottage are Avonlea Village, Mariners Cove Boardwalk, Family Fun Park, Cavendish Boardwalk, Anne of Green Gables, Cavendish beach and beach trails, Cavendish Grove hiking trails, restaurants, grocery store, liquor store and a gas station with a Tim Hortons. Only minutes away is North Rustico where you can find deep sea fishing, restaurants, beaches, shopping, grocery store, pharmacy, park and much more. The cottage is 30 minutes from Charlottetown and 30 minutes from Summerside.
