Peaceful wooded couple’s retreat in magnificent Cape Breton. Situated 30 minutes outside of Sydney and 30 minutes to the Cabot Trail. One bedroom cottage with Queen size bed and double pull out couch. Full size washer and dryer. Recently renovated bathroom with shower. Large living room dining room combination. Screened porch at front of cabin. High speed internet. No neighbors nearby. The cottage is on well and septic. Forty gallon hot water tank. Towels and bed linens, cleaning supplies as well as laundry detergent are supplied. Perfect spot to decompress. Entire property with a short walk through a beautiful mature forest to a river, some areas are deep enough to swim and some have small rapids, lots of fun for tubing and swimming. Please note that the property is owned by a herbalist and the plants are to be left intact as they are medicinal and foraging plants. This is a naturalist retreat so retaining the natural flora and fauna is our goal. The property is left to grow to attract wildlife, hummingbirds and bees so if this is a concern then this property may not be a good fit. There is a co-host who is close by and can be contacted when needed. The co-host can meet and greet the guests if they like or just contact by phone whatever they're comfortable with. This nature lover's paradise is located in rural Cape Breton, within minutes to the Two River Wildlife Park. A car is needed to get around. No parties, please keep noise down. Quiet time after 10 pm. No campfires due to strict bylaws. Maximum of four people on property. The property is not suitable for children or pets. Please note this is a three season cabin set on piers so it has rustic charm that may not be appreciated by everyone.
