Accommodation for the whole family!

A spacious minimalistic apartment that offers a large en suite bathroom with large shower and bath tub; there is also a kitchen area with fridge, oven, and kitchen essentials. The apartment also has a small balcony, king size bed and living and dining areas. The apartment sleeps two people. Downstairs there is sleeping for a further 9 people with a luxury shared bathroom. Access is via a shared living area and terrace. Ideal for people travelling with large families or groups. English and Spanish are spoken by the host, as well as some very broken French, and he is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. The house is three stories, the top two stories are independant from the ground floor and are the ones that are for rent. The door that leads to the street is shared with the occupants of the ground floor. The host will always be available via telephone to answer any questions the guests might have, and will endevour to show them around a bit should they like. It may also be possible to arrange pick up from the airport or bus station upon request. The house is surrounded by mountains on both sides and is located in the quiet village of Lachigolo, a rural farming village where you can still hear Zapotec spoken. Although El Tule (claimed to be home of the Empanada) and Tlacolula (Famous for its Barbacoa) are both close, there are several small eateries in Lachigolo itself, many of which sell hand-made tortillas. Just a 3 minute drive away (10 minutes walking), there is a large open air swimming pool that is open daily from 9:00 – 18:00. The apartment is ideally located to see many of Oaxaca’s main attractions being just 15 minutes from the City, 5 minutes from the famous El Tule tree, 5 minutes from the weaving town of Teotitlan del Valle and the Dainzu ruins, 10 minutes from the market towm of Tlacolula and the nearby ruins of Yagul and Lambityeco, and 15 minutes from the incredible Mitla ruins. Colectivos (shared taxis) and buses pass at the end of the street so there is easy access to public transport if renting a car isn’t an option; alternatively, private taxis cost around 200 pesos.
