Welcome to Cocoa Cottage, a unique guesthouse in the Roseau Valley, minutes away from the capital Roseau, but a world apart in a quiet village in the rainforest. It has a Queen bed close to the en-suite bathroom and a Sofa bed in the living area. Another Queen bed is in the attic, under the open gable. You have your own kitchenette with kitchen appliances, a two-flame stove top, a refrigerator, and a counter. The living area has ample sitting space and has a beautiful view into the valley and onto the little stream rippling in the garden. The design of the house is open to nature: we have no windows, but an extended roof all around the house. You will enjoy the fresh air and you will hear the sounds of nature surrounding you. You will have to walk some stairs to reach the Tree House, and the stairs to the bed in the attic is a little steeper than regular stairs. The house is perfect for a group of friends or a family of up to 6 people. Cocoa Cottage is a home away from home. You can enjoy our airy common living room, socialize in our dining area and lounge, or relax in our outside patio. We prepare fresh and delicious breakfasts, picnics, and dinners, made from local ingredients from the farmers market, from our garden, or from our partner farmers. We are located close to all the famous natural wonders and places-to-see on Dominica. Roseau, the quirky capital with its shops, restaurants, bars, farmers market, fish market, banks, and supermarkets is only 5 km away. Our staff will gladly provide details and help you organize your activities. We can help you arrange a rental car, just let us know. From Roseau it is about 10 minutes drive. We are located on the main road to Trafalgar Falls. Look for our sign on the right hand side, just three minutes ride after you turned to Papillote Road. Free parking is outside the gate in our entrance-way, and along the road side. Buses from the Village of Trafalgar to Roseau are passing regularly, all you need is to step out of the property. It is also safe to hitch hike. Cocoa Cottage is a Safe in Nature certified accommodation. If you are coming from a High Risk Country and are not yet fully vaccinated, you can spend the quarantine at Cocoa Cottage.
