The Inn at the Creamery4

Sleep in a beautiful room in the newly renovated (2017) historic Telkwa Creamery on the Bulkley River. The Inn has four rooms and a large shared common area where a continental breakfast is available. Next door is a small coffee roastery ( Reel Coffee). The Inn is across the road from the Bulkley River. There is a verandah along the front and a small patio in the garden area. Please be advised that we currently require our guests to have received their covid vaccinations. This is our largest room with a King bed, work station and a full bathroom - shower and tub. It is on the second floor. The view is toward the outdoor rink and up the river. The large bathroom looks out on the river. There is a small common area upstairs and a large common area downstairs where a self serve continental breakfast is available each morning and where a small fridge, microwave, kettle. toaster and dishes available. We do not live at the property but are available as needed. Telkwa is a small village at the confluence of the Bulkey and Telkwa rivers 15 km from Smithers. The local amenities include: a small grocery shop, a restaurant that is open sporadically, a food truck, ( in spring and summer), an ice cream stand, a gas station , a yoga studio, a wool store, a "Reading Room" ( library), a tattoo parlour, a hair salon..... ( this is not an exhaustive list!) There is fishing in the river, paddling down the river and some lovely walks along the riverbank and through the village. Tyee Lake Provincial Park is about 4 km away - swimming, picnicking, camping There are many restaurants, shops and services in Smithers. There is a local bus service which travels to Smithers and back several times per day except on Sundays. Ideally you will like trains as the Inn is across the river from the train tracks and trains go by a few times a day and a couple of times during the night. The whistle is always blown! We have good wifi but we do not have televisions. We are required to charge Gst (5%) which is payable at the Inn.
