Slowlife lodge with pool, on a wild beach

Remotely on a black sandy beach with lots of character, at the mouth of the Saint-Jacques River, and surrounded by a state forest, eco lodge Maison d'Ô is truly a unique experience, off the beaten track and away from the tourist flocks. It is an ideal spot for those who love nature, for hikers and surfers, or for having unforgettable moments with your family on a timeless site. Eco lodge Maison d'Ô is also an excellent starting point for exploring a more secret Martinique. In the Creole spirit, the house coexists in harmony with its environment: the shade of the trees, the large, airy terrace and the swimming pool are unceasing invitations to go outside for a relaxing or convivial moment. The house has four bedrooms (two large and two standard), and three bathrooms, totalling 10 sleeping arrangements (2 double beds and 6 single beds). The equipped kitchen opens onto a vast living room, an indoors dining room, and the terrace for having meals outside. Amid the trade winds, the house is almost free of mosquitos and it is cool in any time of the year. For children, a car seat, a baby bouncer, a pushchair, a cradle, a changing table, a folding bed, a baby bath and some toys may be available on site. The ground-floor spaces are accessible for people with reduced mobility, in particular a large bedroom and its bathroom. As you will be living inside screen sceneries, there is no television. You have unlimited internet access (but you'd rather enjoy nature!) Some books and board games are available for you to use. The beach is wild and never crowded because bathing there is dangerous: a guarantee of peacefulness. For a refreshing moment, enjoy the swimming pool, the river or one of the many beaches around (less than 15 min away). The pool, facing the sea, has a part for the smallest. The hammock, in the shade of the catalpa trees, is very enjoyable. Civilization is only 2 km away : a little supermarket, street vendors (fruits & vegetables, fresh fish...), doctor, drugstore, gas station, ATM, post office... There is also a square that is very popular among local people, with a playground and street foods (pizzas, ice creams, food from Martinique or Haïti...)
