East Room at Lavender House - Five Islands

You can look forward to a good night's rest after enjoying all the sights in beautiful Five Islands. In addition to a comfortable bed in an airy, light-filled room, you can relax and enjoy the gardens, sit a while on the front porch or walk across the lawn to Mo's Restaurant for a bite. Campgrounds, hiking, clamming, fishing and antiquing are minutes away along the Five Islands - Fundy Shore. Everyone is welcome regardless of race, orientation or creed. Our ca. 1870 Gothic style cottage is comfortable and unpretentious, and retains it classic charm. The East room has comfortable bedding and side table lamps for reading, with closet space to hang your clothes. The guest bathroom is airy and bright, with both hand-held shower and large rain head to suit your preference. You'll have full use of the roomy sun porch, the living room with comfortable furniture and 1915 Heintzman piano, and the garden. I run my business from home, so please make yourself comfortable. Our hamlet is home to Five Islands Provincial Park on the Bay of Fundy, one of Nova Scotia's premiere outdoor destinations. Outdoor activities abound; fishing and clam digging, amazing hiking trails, camping, fossil hunting and beach combing - and the world's highest tides to amaze you. Whether on an overnight stay or a week-long holiday on the Fundy Shore, you won't lack for things to do. There's lots to see in walking distance, but you'll need a car for getting around. Please use the front entrance, not the back door.
